EDITORIAL STANDARDS General Information: Articles must be original and unpublished; in addition to not being simultaneously submitted to other journals. The journal Agroecología Global establishes the policy of double-blind peer review; where the reviewers do not know the identity of the authors of the articles, and the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers. The work of the reviewers is strictly confidential. The journal is not responsible for the performance of the reviewers, who are completely autonomous. Once the article is received for arbitration, the Editorial Committee selects two reviewers external to the journal and the Foundation who anonymously evaluate the quality of the document according to the journal's standards. Articles in languages other than Spanish and English will be accepted. Articles submitted to the Journal should have a maximum of four authors, including the main author. Exceptions to this rule will be submitted to the consideration of the editorial committee, based on the criteria of originality, relevance, contribution, and extension of the research process developed in the article. JOURNAL PERIODICITY The journal Agroecología Global has a biannual periodicity organized in an annual volume that includes two issues. Each issue is published on the first day of the period.
With the approval of the editorial committee; an ordinary issue may be published before the start of the declared period. Approved articles will be published in the next available issue. The journal may publish special issues (special editions), by agreement with groups, networks, institutions, and organizations that carry out research events such as congresses, forums, conferences, among others; for which it is essential to submit articles adjusted to these editorial standards. The presentation of the special edition must be approved by the editorial committee. TYPES OF ARTICLES Articles published in the journal are classified as:

SELECTION FOR PUBLICATION The receipt of a manuscript does not oblige its publication. Received manuscripts will be reviewed by the Editorial Committee and will be submitted to external peer review, usually experts in the respective subject. The Editorial Committee reserves the right to accept, reject, request modifications, and make the necessary corrections to adjust the manuscript to the journal's style. The review of manuscripts will be done respecting the authors' right to confidentiality regarding information, results, and creative effort. Likewise, the right to confidentiality of reviewers and editors will be respected. The Journal accepts comments and opinions that disagree with the published material, accepts reasoned retractions from authors, and will promptly correct typographical or other errors that may have been made when publishing an article. Editorial Process Contributors will upload the article to the Journal's OJS (download at Journal Formats). When registering the article on the platform, all requested fields must be specified and the article uploaded. Together with the article, the Declaration of Responsibility and Originality must be submitted. The reviewers will have a period of 30 continuous days from the receipt of the article to submit the evaluation report to the Director and/or Editor. The Director and/or Editor will send this report to the author within a maximum period of 5 continuous days. When the article is returned for corrections to the authors, they have a period of 30 days to return the article to the journal. The final decision on the evaluation process, publication or not of the articles rests exclusively with the Director and/or Editor and the Editorial Committee, and will be made based on the suggestions, observations, and recommendations issued by the reviewers. The projected period between the receipt of the article and its publication is 8 weeks. All articles are subjected to an editorial evaluation process, even when they have been reviewed by experts; and if necessary, the authors will be given the appropriate recommendations to improve the quality of the articles to be published. In case of discrepancies between both reviewers, a third reviewer is consulted, whose decision, together with the Editorial Committee, will determine whether the article is published or rejected. If the work is definitively accepted or rejected, the author will receive official communication in this regard. The results of the process are final and compliance with the Ethics and Good Publication Practices Policy must be ensured to avoid conflicts of interest. If any breach of publication ethics is detected at the beginning, during the editorial process, or after publication, the journal Agroecología Global will take the necessary corrective measures based on the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (www.publicationethics.org), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) (http://www.icmje.org/) and the Council of Science Editors (CSE) (https://www.councilscienceeditors.org/), which may include:
