The Albendazol is the antihelmintic of first election for several parasitism, among them trichinellosis, nevertheless, the time of treatment must be per prolonged periods. The aim of this work was to determine the effect of this medicine on Long rats Evans pregnant and infected with T. spiralis. We synchronize the rats to develop them and to infect them, the treatment went of one to fourteen days, used the Hematoxilina-Eosin technique to verify the effect on the liver and the reproductive apparatus and verified the number of young for each treatment and if correspondence between the obtained characteristics of the reproductive apparatus and young existed, the results indicate a degeneration of weaves as increases the time of treatment in addition is observed that I number of young is directly affected when increasing the treatment. cAMP/PKA - dependent regulation of the high affinity choline transporter is not mediated by dopamine in retinal neurons http://ve.scielo.org/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&pid=S0798-02642010000400003&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en La actividad del transportador de colina de alta afinidad (HAChT) es considerado el paso limitante en la síntesis de acetilcolina (ACh) en el terminal colinérgico.
The high affinity choline transporter (HAChT) activity is considered to be the rate-limiting step in acetylcholine (ACh) synthesis in the cholinergic terminal. Recent studies show that HAChT contains consensus serine and threonine residues for protein kinase A (PKA) phosphorylation. Using chick retinal neurons evaluated the effects of the second messenger cAMP on the HAChT activity. The increase of the intracellular cAMP levels through phosphodiesterase inhibition, adenilatecyclase activation or using a phosphodiesterase-resistant cAMP analog decreased HAChT activity between 29 and 69%. Moreover, the activation of dopamine D1-type receptors increase the intracellular cAMP levels and activates PKA, however, the treatment with dopamine D1 or D2 receptor antagonists does not induce changes on transporter activity. Modifications in the enzymatic liver markers promoted by the venom of joung cotralus DURISSUS CUMANENSIS http://ve.scielo.org/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&pid=S0798-02642010000400004&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en Se determinaron los cambios séricos de ALT, AST, FA, promovidos por veneno de ejemplares jóvenes Crotalus durissus cumanensis.
To determinate the effect of the venom of young Crotalus durissus cumanensis on levels of ALT, AST and AP, Balb/C mice were inoculated intraperitoneal with 0,75 mg/Kg of purified venom. Serum samples were obtained at different post-injection intervals (1, 3, 6, 12, 24h) and serum levels of ALT, AST and AP were determined. A significative difference (P ‹0,01) was observed in serum levels of ALT at 6h and at 24h post-venom injection, with a maximum of 587,64 U/L at 24 h, when compared with controls. In addition, AST shows a significative elevation between 1h and 12h post venom injection, with a maximum level of 2327 U/L at 3 h, while AP only showed significant differences at 24 h post-venom injection. These results suggest that the venom of young Crotalus durissus cumanensis induced liver-biliar injury, with a possible effect on skeletal muscle and/ or cardiac tissue.
