The proposals to incorporate Technologies of Information and Communication to school areas are of great concern to the current educational context. The objective of this article is to fi nd out some of the socio-cultural variables that could affect the processes of adoption and dissemination of technologies. The research reported is a part of a wider study about the use of Technologies of Information and Communication on Child Education and is structured from an ethnographic design under the general model of Thompson (1993). It was developed with teachers from the Instituto Educacional Aquiles Nazoa.
The purpose of this paper is to present a theoretical analysis on the notions of Disability and Learning Difficulties. A new perspective is suggested on this relational condition, starting from theoretical limits for each notion. The analysis shows that, despite the fact that, traditionally, learning difficulties are considered a type of disability, there is the possibility that the relation between both constructs is indeed inverse. As a consequence, An evolution on the concepts, used so far to handle people with special needs in the school context and the role of specialized educational attention necessary to achieve complete development of students with such needs.
The aim of this article is to show a bibliographical review that would aid as a foundation to teacher’s training programs, which should be restructured to answer to new challenges on children’s care. I will start with the current preschool teacher’s training; the teacher we want and need: infant’s teachers and awareness to diversity, meaning handicapped children; and at home and international legal baselines, which guaranteed the educational inclusion. Among the conclusions arisen from careful thought, we realize that, in our training institution, it is necessary to implement important changes, consideration to attention to diversity as a main axis to the curriculum, also such training should be included in the development and establishment of policies of inclusion and attention to diversity.
This paper presents a Theoretical Model for the Early Teaching of the Mother Tongue. It was made from the results of a research; which objective was to explain and understand the characteristics of the phonethological development of Venezuelan children between four and twelve months old. We also developed a qualitative analysis of the role played by textual and contextual categories. This study was made from the observation of the mother-child interaction in daily actions. The findings show how oral skills are built in a collaborative way based on the interrelation of textual and contextual categories and they represent an effort to value and understand the characteristics of the linguistic development of Venezuelan children.
The aim of this article is to develop basis for the creation of programs on continuing education intending to improve the quality of children’s education. To that end, the following sections were developed: (a) continuing education training, (b) legal and practical basis for continuing education training in Venezuela, (c) teachers: continuing education participants, (d) determine the knowledge mediator. Among the most important conclusions arising from the analysis by the postulants, we can mention that continuing education can be viewed as a key element to keep up-to-date the teaching personnel, thus increasing their practical teaching capabilities; also, we must point out that the success of such a program is based on flexibility, participation and democratization principles.
Attention to childhood has historically worried most societies. In Venezuela, childhood policies have materialized in programs for the care of young children. Nevertheless, it is appropriated to ask: Do these programs create quality-learning environments? How can quality for preschool be defined? The aim of this study is to divulge information on some criteria established in the Ibero-American context to evaluate the quality of educational services directed to early childhood and, to create discussions as well as to favor the creation of home benchmarks on this subject. The work is developed through a documental research in which a theoretical revision is done on some of the proposals made by researchers on this topic. The conclusions of the analysis reflect this topic multidimensional character and emphasize the importance to review the socio-historical context from the source.
The changes that have been implemented in the educative scope have transformed deeply the form to develop the evaluation process.
