This paper sketches out the process to be developed by educational managers in order to promote changes in the institution, having as a primary goal the provision of an excellent service. This type of manager’s personal profile, the style of management to be implemented, the set of competencies required to that end such as: leadership, decision-making, and the promotion of a school climate of work and participation, plus the methodologies required to achieve these goals are analyzed.
