Abstract

CALDERON MARQUEZ, Carmen  and  DE ALBA, Felipe. What to do with internet? Some elements of discussion about its impact, penetration and future. Revista de Investigación [online]. 2010, vol.34, n.71, pp.211-236. ISSN 1010-2914.

The transformation experienced by the world has two vertices binding and paradoxical: the Internet and globalization as processes of structural changes since the last three decades of the twentieth century. From the case analysis of the implementation of this technological tool in Mexico, this article proposes an interpretation of its impact as a social link with new meanings, such as a change in the ways of learning to learn. With documentary research as methodological support, seek the sense that the Internet has in educational institutions, particularly in the school curriculum. Conclude that a link between the technological tools and educational institutions requires a deep reflection on an interdisciplinary basis and specific public policies

Keywords : Internet; Mexico; technology; school curriculum; learning to learn.
