The experimental results of the voltammetric detection of Escherichia coli growth, with a sensor composed of two platinum electrodes manufactured in thin film technology, are reported and discussed. The samples were prepared starting from the Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 strain in DIRAMIC Diagnostic Kit culture media. The electrochemical experiments consisted of cyclic voltammetry at 20 mV/s and linear sweep voltammetry at 5 mV/s, 10 mV/s, 20 mV/s and 50 mV/s. Voltammograms of bacteria samples in acelerate and exponential growth phases showed an anodic current peak. In the bacteria samples in plateau growth phase, peak current was not observed. There was found an inverse relation between the detection time of the first anodic current peak and the initial concentration of microorganisms
