Aedes aegypti (L.) is first recorded from a remote area in the amerindian territory of the Erebato river basin, Sucre Municipality, Bolívar State. One specimen was collected during the malaria entomological surveillance using the Mosquito MagnetTM trap between 21:30 and 01:30 hrs. This finding alerts about the risk of the introduction of Ae. aegypti in selvatic remote areas and subsequent introduction of dengue, which might have a major health impact among the amerindian population.
