Resumen
DE-ARMAS, Lina María y CHIRINO-GARCIA, Raysa Chiquinquira. Management information system as a strategy for organizational success in companies in the health sector. Gestio et Productio [online]. 2023, vol.5, n.9, pp.4-26. Epub 25-Ene-2024. ISSN 2739-0039. https://doi.org/10.35381/gep.v8i9.52.
The objective of this research was to analyze management information systems as a strategy for organizational success in companies in the health sector. Methodologically, the research has a positivist paradigm, using the quantitative approach, of an explanatory type with a non-experimental, transectional or transversal field design under the quantitative approach. The results showed that the mission is almost never embodied as specific purposes in the short or medium term, to achieve the objectives set, or the purchasing department has in its organizational structure, they lack an integrated information system. In conclusion, a moderate importance is maintained in terms of the types of competencies when recognizing intangible assets, because IPS sometimes value the specific knowledge and skills/qualities of employees for their value creation; competencies in companies in the health sector are not fully fulfilling their functions as health institutions.
