Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer worldwide; That is why the main objective of this research was to analyze the prevalence, risk factors and signs of breast cancer. A systematic review study was carried out using reliable databases such as ScieELO, PudMed, Medigraphic, Redalyc, Elsevier and search engines such as Google Scholar with current articles from the last 5 years in Spanish, English and Portuguese, using Boolean operators such as AND and OR, considering inclusion and exclusion criteria. Among the results identified, it can be mentioned that the prevalence of breast cancer was identified, which maintains figures ranging from 14.31% to 74.0%, being the most predominant in Nicaragua. Also, the different clinical manifestations caused by this disease were described, where breast bulge, nipple discharge, nipple sinking, skin retraction, orange peel skin, axillary lymphadenopathy and change in nipple position were the most identified. And among the risk factors were obesity, age, nulliparity, sedentary lifestyle, alcohol and tobacco consumption, hormonal contraception, family history, menopause and high levels of body fat.
