This article analyzes the regulation of work in the advertising film sector in Argentina and Brazil. In this productive context, extremely unstable forms of work arising from strongly internationalized outsourcing process are observed. By using a comparative approach, it highlights the uniform influences emanated from the organization of the productive process on the regulation of work in both cases as well as the distinctive effects printed by other sources of regulation configured in each place. In these terms, the analysis focuses on the role played by labour legislation and trade union action during a period that was auspicious in general terms.
