MARICHAL-GUEVARA, Oruam Cadex; RODRIGUEZ-TORRES, Esteban and MUSA-LARA, Amaury. Political leadership in administrative transparency: ethical challenges and structural corruption in Latin America. Iustitia Socialis [online]. 2025, vol.10, n.18, pp.110-127. Epub Mar 20, 2025. ISSN 2542-3371. https://doi.org/10.35381/racji.v10i18.4370.
The objective is to analyze the impact of political leadership on administrative transparency considering the ethical challenges posed by structural corruption in Latin America. Through a methodology based on literature review and critical analysis, concepts such as political leadership, administrative transparency, corruption and their interrelation are explored. The study underlines that corruption, fueled by structural factors such as institutional weakness and lack of accountability, continues to be one of the main obstacles to sustainable development and democratic legitimacy in the region. In turn, corruption perception indexes and recent cases are examined to evidence the magnitude of the problem, highlighting the influence of pressure groups and political parties in its perpetuation. In this context, political leadership emerges as a transformative tool to promote ethical, inclusive and transparent public administration.
