The general objective of the research was to analyze textual learning strategies to improve reading comprehension in regular elementary school students. The research work, from a methodological connotation, was based on the quantitative approach; it is a descriptive type of research. The analytical-synthetic method was jointly proposed. The study population consisted of 35 elementary school students from an educational institution in Trujillo, constituting a significant sample. The technique of direct observation was used. The objective test was assumed, i.e. the pre-test and post-test. In conclusion, institutions should foster a collaborative environment among teachers. This environment will allow educators to share experiences and good practices in the application of learning strategies. This process will allow adjustments to be made as necessary, thus ensuring that the strategies applied favor the students.
