This study investigates the development of a solid shampoo formulated with a shampoo base and aqueous extract of Jamaica, evaluating its antioxidant activity using the FRAP method. Ten formulations with different proportions of these components were analyzed. The results showed that the formulations with a higher percentage of extract, specifically formulations 2 and 8 (75% base and 25% extract), exhibited the highest antioxidant activities, reaching 5.39 and 5.42 eq. Trolox/g, respectively. In contrast, the formulations composed solely of the shampoo base lacked antioxidant activity, highlighting the importance of the Jamaica extract in enhancing these properties. The equation of the adjusted model indicated that antioxidant activity is influenced by the proportions of the ingredients and their interaction. The identified optimal formulation consists of 75% shampoo base and 25% Jamaica extract, significantly enhancing the antioxidant properties of the developed solid shampoo.
