The simulation embraces a 20 year-old horizon, considering the increment in the energy demand and the decrease in the unitary costs of the cells of fuel. The results show that the main operation variables: current density, efficiency and voltage present the typical behavior of this type of cells, while from the economic point of view, the cost of the produced electricity diminishes continually for effects of the scale economy. The use of the cells PEM to provide from energy to population&#8217;s rural Venezuelan sectors is viable in principle when contributing to the improvement of the quality of life and sustainable development of these isolated and depressed regions, those which, for its distance of the development of these isolated and depressed regions, those which, for its distance of the electric net and surface that embrace, they have not been covered by the electric net.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Se estudia la etapa de Usos Finales de un sistema energético renovable con el H2 como vector energético, mediante la formulación de un modelo matemático semiempírico representativo de los principales aspectos técnicos y económicos involucrados en la operación de las celdas de combustible PEM, tecnología de transformación seleccionada para proveer de energía a poblados rurales de Venezuela ubicados en la parroquia Trinidad de la Capilla del estado Portuguesa. La simulación abarca un horizonte de 20 años, considerando el incremento en la demanda de energía y la disminución en los costos unitarios de las celdas de combustible. Los resultados muestran que las principales variables de operación: densidad de corriente, eficiencia y voltaje presentan el comportamiento típico de este tipo de celdas, mientras que desde el punto de vista económico, el costo de la electricidad producida disminuye continuamente por efectos de la economía de escala. La utilización de las celdas PEM para proveer de energía a sectores de población rural venezolano resulta viable en principio al contribuir a la mejora de la calidad de vida y desarrollo sustentable de estas regiones aisladas y deprimidas, las cuales, por la superficie que abarcan y su lejanía de la red eléctrica, no han sido cubiertas por la misma.]]></p></abstract>

En este contexto se est&#225; llevando a cabo una investigaci&#243;n  marco cuyo principal objetivo es estudiar la viabilidad del desarrollo  en el sector rural de Venezuela de un sistema energ&#233;tico basado en el H<SUB>2</SUB>.  En este sistema, el H</FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Bookman"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB>2</SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> se produce por electr&#243;lisis a partir de hidroelectricidad,  se almacena y transporta en forma de gas comprimido, para finalmente convertirlo  en energ&#237;a &#250;til para su aprovechamiento en los hogares rurales. Una vez  estudiadas las tres primeras etapas: Producci&#243;n, Almacenamiento, Transporte  y Distribuci&#243;n [2-4], en este art&#237;culo se considera la etapa de Usos Finales,  la cual en l&#237;neas generales tiene como prop&#243;sito poner a disposici&#243;n de  los diferentes sectores de la sociedad, la energ&#237;a requerida para cubrir  sus necesidades de diversa &#237;ndole. Por tanto, el desarrollo pleno de esta  etapa es crucial ya que determinar&#225; en gran medida la penetraci&#243;n exitosa  y la utilizaci&#243;n masiva del H</FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB>2</SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> como vector energ&#233;tico en el corto y mediano  plazo [5].&nbsp; </FONT> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Dentro de las tecnolog&#237;as de Uso Final que se encuentran actualmente en  pleno desarrollo, las celdas de combustible (CC), podr&#237;an aprovechar ciertos  nichos del mercado energ&#233;tico con perspectivas claras de &#233;xito: la generaci&#243;n  distribuida de electricidad en lugares remotos o aislados [6], tal como  son las regiones rurales; y las aplicaciones m&#243;viles para veh&#237;culos el&#233;ctricos  e h&#237;bridos [7].&nbsp; </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Por todo esto, el prop&#243;sito de este art&#237;culo es desarrollar un modelo matem&#225;tico  de la operaci&#243;n de las CC de intercambio prot&#243;nico (PEM), con el fin de  estimar los costos de su utilizaci&#243;n en sectores rurales de Venezuela para  la satisfacci&#243;n de las necesidades energ&#233;ticas de sus habitantes mediante  la generaci&#243;n de calor y electricidad. La simulaci&#243;n se hace para un horizonte  de 20 a&#241;os a partir del a&#241;o 2001, considerando la incidencia en los costos  de las mejoras tecnol&#243;gicas esperadas en las CC y del crecimiento estimado  tanto en el consumo de energ&#237;a como de la poblaci&#243;n rural misma sujeto  de la aplicaci&#243;n.&nbsp; </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> <B>Los usos energ&#233;ticos del hidr&#243;geno&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Una de las maneras de clasificar los variados usos energ&#233;ticos del H<SUB>2</SUB>,  es considerar las rutas seguidas en su conversi&#243;n, transformaci&#243;n y aprovechamiento  energ&#233;tico, tal como se muestra en la <a href="#fig1">Figura 1</a>. La energ&#237;a &#250;til obtenida  de los procesos de conversi&#243;n y transformaci&#243;n se aprovecha en dispositivos  estacionarios, m&#243;viles y port&#225;tiles, utilizando diferentes tecnolog&#237;as  de servicios ubicadas en los diferentes sectores de la sociedad.</FONT></P>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<P ALIGN="center"><a name="fig1"> <img border="0" src="/img/fbpe/rtfiuz/v33n3/art01fig1.gif" width="544" height="590"></a></P>     
<P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> <B>Selecci&#243;n de la tecnolog&#237;a de transformaci&#243;n&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Tomando en cuenta que el H<SUB>2</SUB> se utilizar&#225; en los hogares rurales en la generaci&#243;n  de calor para la cocci&#243;n de alimentos y de electricidad para iluminaci&#243;n  y operaci&#243;n de artefactos el&#233;ctricos dom&#233;sticos b&#225;sicos, una selecci&#243;n  preliminar de las tecnolog&#237;as de transformaci&#243;n m&#225;s adecuadas para tales  usos, da como resultado: a. Una combinaci&#243;n de quemadores alimentados directamente  con H</FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Bookman"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB>2</SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> para el cocimiento de alimentos, con las CC para la generaci&#243;n de  electricidad; y b. La utilizaci&#243;n exclusiva de las CC para alimentar a  cocinas el&#233;ctricas y dem&#225;s artefactos el&#233;ctricos. Para la selecci&#243;n final,  tomando en cuenta, por una parte, la eficiencia promedio de las CC, su  aplicabilidad, sus costos, la complejidad tecnol&#243;gica y facilidad de acceso  a ellas [8]; y por la otra, el nivel cultural y las condiciones socioecon&#243;micas  de la poblaci&#243;n rural venezolana [9], se ha optado por la utilizaci&#243;n exclusiva  de las CC como tecnolog&#237;a de transformaci&#243;n.&nbsp; </FONT> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> <B>Selecci&#243;n del tipo de celda de combustible&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> La forma m&#225;s com&#250;n de clasificar las CC es seg&#250;n el tipo de electrolito  utilizado; de esta manera, se distinguen las celdas: alcalinas, polim&#233;ricas  o PEM, de &#225;cido fosf&#243;rico, de carbonato fundido y de &#243;xidos s&#243;lidos. La  selecci&#243;n de un tipo de celda para una aplicaci&#243;n espec&#237;fica depender&#225;  de las condiciones de operaci&#243;n, de la naturaleza de la aplicaci&#243;n y de  la potencia de salida requerida [10]. En este estudio se selecciona la  celda PEM, con base en las siguientes consideraciones:&nbsp; </FONT></P> </MULTICOL> <MULTICOL GUTTER="39" COLS="2">     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> 1.&nbsp;Es la m&#225;s adecuada para la generaci&#243;n de potencia estacionaria distribuida  de peque&#241;a escala y se ajusta eficientemente a operaciones de carga variable,  como es el caso de aplicaciones residenciales [8].&nbsp; </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> 2.&nbsp;Opera a altas densidades de corriente y bajas temperaturas, lo cual le  permite un r&#225;pido arranque y salida de operaci&#243;n con un menor desgaste  t&#233;rmico de sus componentes, resultando en una mayor durabilidad [10].&nbsp; </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> 3.&nbsp;Posee una construcci&#243;n compacta, bajo peso y volumen comparadas con los  otros tipos de CC, por lo cual el ensamblado y manipulaci&#243;n es menos complejo  [10].&nbsp; </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> <B>Modelo matem&#225;tico del uso final del H</B><SUB><B>2</B></SUB><B>&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Conceptualmente, el modelo matem&#225;tico a desarrollar es de tipo semiemp&#237;rico,  ya que a las correlaciones emp&#237;ricas obtenidas para unas condiciones espec&#237;ficas  de operaci&#243;n, se incorpora un cierto conocimiento fenomenol&#243;gico [11].  As&#237;, el modelo se construye a partir de resultados previos de la literatura  sobre el tema, proyecciones de la demanda energ&#233;tica en el sector rural  venezolano e informaci&#243;n de fabricantes de CC PEM. Estructuralmente, el  modelo matem&#225;tico est&#225; compuesto por un submodelo de energ&#237;a y un submodelo  de costos.&nbsp; </FONT></P>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> <B>Submodelo de energ&#237;a&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Tiene como prop&#243;sito calcular el n&#250;mero de celdas del arreglo, la eficiencia  de la conversi&#243;n energ&#233;tica y el consumo de H<SUB>2</SUB>. Todo ello a partir de la  relaci&#243;n densidad de corriente/voltaje y para una cierta potencia de salida  determinada por la demanda.&nbsp; </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> <B>Ecuaci&#243;n de polarizaci&#243;n&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Constituye el indicador m&#225;s importante del funcionamiento de una CC al  determinar el voltaje generado en ella para una cierta densidad de corriente  y unas ciertas condiciones de operaci&#243;n. Los modelos matem&#225;ticos propuestos  para explicar y predecir esta relaci&#243;n deben considerar las irreversibilidades  &#150;de activaci&#243;n, &#243;hmica y de concentraci&#243;n&#150; que suceden en la operaci&#243;n  de toda CC y que ocasionan que el potencial real obtenible en ella sea  menor que el potencial ideal. Con tal fin, en ellos se utilizan expresiones  matem&#225;ticas de tipo lineal, exponencial y logar&#237;tmico [12-14], seg&#250;n el  grado de detalle utilizado para explicar tales irreversibilidades, aumentando  en consecuencia la complejidad del modelo. Para c&#225;lculos de dise&#241;o y de costos, se utiliza, por lo general, la Eficiencia  del Voltaje, que relaciona el voltaje actual o de operaci&#243;n con el voltaje  te&#243;rico con un valor de 1,48 v, y que corresponde a la m&#225;xima energ&#237;a &#150;el&#233;ctrica  y t&#233;rmica&#150; obtenible de la reacci&#243;n electroqu&#237;mica [13, 16]. <body><![CDATA[<P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> En resumen, el submodelo de energ&#237;a est&#225; compuesto por las ecuaciones (1)  a la (6).&nbsp; </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> <B>Submodelo de costos&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> La variable com&#250;nmente usada para evaluar el desempe&#241;o econ&#243;mico de las  CC es el costo de la generaci&#243;n de electricidad, calculado utilizando el  m&#233;todo de las anualidades [18]. Al respecto, el submodelo calcula el costo  total anual como la relaci&#243;n entre la suma de los costos de inversi&#243;n y  los costos operacionales del arreglo de celdas y la energ&#237;a el&#233;ctrica producida  por dicho arreglo. En este punto es importante resaltar que siendo el principal  prop&#243;sito de este estudio estimar el costo de la etapa de Usos Finales  y su aporte a los costos totales de todo el sistema energ&#233;tico, no se considera  el efecto del costo del H<SUB>2</SUB> requerido para el funcionamiento de la CC, ya  que el corresponde m&#225;s a la etapa de producci&#243;n del H</FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Bookman"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB>2</SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> y cuyo modelado  se realiz&#243; en [2]. Una vez completado el estudio de todas las etapas del  sistema energ&#233;tico, en un trabajo posterior se integrar&#225;n los resultados  obtenidos en cada una de ella para concluir sobre la viabilidad del sistema  energ&#233;tico integral.&nbsp; </FONT> </FONT></P> </MULTICOL> <MULTICOL GUTTER="39" COLS="2">     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> <B>Costos de inversi&#243;n&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Con el fin de evaluar la incidencia en los costos de inversi&#243;n del punto  de operaci&#243;n de la CC, es conveniente dividirlos en costos fijos y costos  variables, seg&#250;n su dependencia con el tama&#241;o del arreglo. Los primeros,  costos del equipamiento, son los que no cambian con el n&#250;mero de celdas  y corresponden a los costos de los dispositivos de admisi&#243;n y salida de  reactivos y productos, de medici&#243;n y control, adem&#225;s de los costos del  ensamblado y de la instalaci&#243;n del sistema [19]. <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> <B>Aplicaci&#243;n del Modelo de Uso Final en Venezuela</B></FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> El Modelo de Uso Final se utilizar&#225; para calcular los costos de la generaci&#243;n  de electricidad en una regi&#243;n rural de Venezuela. La misma corresponde  a la parroquia Trinidad de la Capilla del Municipio Guanarito del estado  Portuguesa, en el centro occidente del pa&#237;s y cuya selecci&#243;n ha sido suficientemente  explicada y justificada en [2, 3]. La simulaci&#243;n tiene un horizonte temporal  de 20 a&#241;os y procede con base en las siguientes premisas: a. Se escoge  como a&#241;o de inicio del estudio &#150;a&#241;o base&#150; el 2001, para hacerlo coincidir  con el a&#241;o de realizaci&#243;n del &#250;ltimo censo de poblaci&#243;n y vivienda en Venezuela.  De &#233;sta manera, el estudio parte de estad&#237;sticas reales y actualizadas,  que indican que esta parroquia tiene un porcentaje de poblaci&#243;n rural del  72%, del cual el 80% &#150;equivalente a 539 hogares&#150;, no tiene un suministro  permanente y seguro de energ&#237;a [21]; b. El valor para el a&#241;o base de los  costos de equipamiento y de los costos unitarios de la celda se asumen  igual a $1000/arreglo y $100/celda, respectivamente [22]; c. Los costos  de equipamiento deber&#225;n aumentar a&#241;o a a&#241;o al requerirse mayor potencia  para satisfacer el incremento esperado en el consumo anual de energ&#237;a en  cada hogar del sector rural. Este aumento en los costos se asume igual  al 2% anual, del mismo orden al estimado para el consumo de energ&#237;a [23];  d. Con respecto al costo unitario de las celdas, se espera disminuya en  el tiempo debido a las mejoras tecnol&#243;gicas y producci&#243;n masiva de las  mismas. En la <a href="#fig2">Figura 2</a>, se presenta la variaci&#243;n del tama&#241;o del n&#250;mero  de celdas, N<SUB>C</SUB>, del arreglo con la densidad de corriente, D</FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Bookman"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB>C</SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana">. Se observa  que para un a&#241;o fijo, el N</FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB>C</SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> disminuye continuamente. Dicha disminuci&#243;n  es m&#225;s acentuada para valores menores de la D</FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB>C</SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana">. Este comportamiento se  repite para todo el lapso estudiado, not&#225;ndose que a medida que transcurre  el tiempo, la cantidad de celdas aumenta al requerirse de arreglos de mayor  tama&#241;o para satisfacer el incremento anual de la potencia como consecuencia  del incremento en el consumo de energ&#237;a en los hogares rurales.</FONT></FONT></P>     ]]></body>

<P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Con respecto a la eficiencia de la CC, en la <a href="#fig3">Figura 3</a> se observa que el  arreglo de celdas pierde eficiencia a medida que aumenta la D<SUB>C </SUB>ya que disminuye  el potencial generado en la celda.</FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="center"><a name="fig3"> <img border="0" src="/img/fbpe/rtfiuz/v33n3/art01fig3.gif" width="426" height="343"></a></P>     
<P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> En cuanto al consumo de H<SUB>2</SUB>, &#233;ste aumenta dentro de un mismo a&#241;o al aumentar  la D</FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Bookman"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB>C</SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> y de un a&#241;o a otro para un valor fijo de D</FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB>C</SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana">, debido al incremento  en la potencia de salida, ambos comportamientos se muestran en la  <a href="#fig4">Figura  4</a>.</FONT></FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="center"><a name="fig4"> <img border="0" src="/img/fbpe/rtfiuz/v33n3/art01fig4.gif" width="414" height="374"></a></P>     
<P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Si se analizan ahora los resultados del modelo de costos, <a href="#fig5">Figura 5</a>. Se  obtiene que el costo de la electricidad disminuye con la D<SUB>C</SUB> para un mismo  a&#241;o y como consecuencia de la disminuci&#243;n en el n&#250;mero de pilas; adem&#225;s,  para un valor fijo de la D</FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Bookman"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB>C</SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana">, el menor costo de la electricidad se obtiene  para el a&#241;o 2020, como consecuencia de la econom&#237;a de escala.</FONT></FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="center"><a name="fig5"> <img border="0" src="/img/fbpe/rtfiuz/v33n3/art01fig5.gif" width="410" height="374"></a></P> </MULTICOL> <MULTICOL GUTTER="39" COLS="2">     
<P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Los valores del costo de la electricidad podr&#237;an considerarse altos al  compararse con los obtenidos en otros estudios sobre provisi&#243;n de energ&#237;a  para viviendas aisladas [25, 26]. Sin embargo en situaciones como la estudiada,  es decir, el suministro de energ&#237;a a regiones rurales con muy baja calidad  de vida, el procedimiento cl&#225;sico de evaluar la viabilidad de una propuesta  energ&#233;tica basada exclusivamente en cuantificar y comparar en t&#233;rminos  monetarios los costos y beneficios de la misma no es la m&#225;s adecuada, ya  que en este caso existen beneficios intangibles, y por tanto dif&#237;ciles  de cuantificar y m&#225;s a&#250;n de expresar en t&#233;rminos monetarios. En efecto,  c&#243;mo cuantificar monetariamente la mejora en las condiciones ambientales,  en la calidad de vida y en el arraigo social de estas poblaciones. Como  incluir en una f&#243;rmula de costos el bienestar de una familia rural al disponer  de iluminaci&#243;n y de calor para cocinar sus alimentos. Por tanto, los resultados  deben verse en una forma m&#225;s amplia y tomando en cuenta el prop&#243;sito del  estudio.&nbsp; </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Una posible alternativa a la propuesta en este trabajo consistir&#237;a en extender  la red el&#233;ctrica hasta cubrir totalmente todos los poblados rurales de  la parroquia. En este caso se debe considerar tanto los costos como el  impacto ambiental. En el primer caso, ante la dificultad de obtener valores  fiables del costo de trasmisi&#243;n y distribuci&#243;n en Venezuela, se utiliza  el valor de 10.000 $/km [1, 27], al cual debe a&#241;adirse los costos del mantenimiento  de todo el sistema. Adem&#225;s hay que tomar en cuenta el impacto ambiental  ocasionado por las l&#237;neas de transmisi&#243;n y dem&#225;s dispositivos de distribuci&#243;n  al tener que cubrir un &#225;rea de 800 km<SUP>2</SUP>. Los costos derivados de este impacto,  es decir las externalidades, de poder ser cuantificados tambi&#233;n deber&#237;an  sumarse a los costos totales, de manera que esta opci&#243;n tiene ciertos escollos  que no han hecho posible su realizaci&#243;n y nada indica que en el mediano  plazo lo sea.&nbsp; </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> <B>Conclusiones&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Se ha estudiado la &#250;ltima etapa del desarrollo en Venezuela de un sistema  energ&#233;tico renovable con el hidr&#243;geno como vector energ&#233;tico, mediante  la formulaci&#243;n y manipulaci&#243;n de un modelo matem&#225;tico. El modelo de Uso  Final resultante se utiliza para calcular los costos de utilizar las CC  en centros poblados rurales para satisfacer sus necesidades energ&#233;ticas.  La simulaci&#243;n se realiza utilizando la herramienta computacional Excel  y considerando un incremento en los costos de equipamiento debido a un  incremento esperado en la demanda de energ&#237;a y una disminuci&#243;n en los costos  unitarios de las CC debido a mejoras tecnol&#243;gicas y producci&#243;n masiva de  las mismas. Los resultados muestran que el costo de la electricidad producida  por el arreglo de las CC disminuye por efecto de la econom&#237;a de escala.
