In the framework of the Ginzburg-Landau model, it is possible to solve the 1GLE for the states with axially symmetric distributions of the order parameter. The order parameter and magnetization curves are obtained by a simple variational model and an exact numerical method. We show that, depending on the value of the applied field and the size of cylinder radii, the magnetization curves can have diamagnetic behavior such a way (M<0) as Paramagnetic (M&gt;0). Also it is noted that the value of the order parameter in the boundary diminishes when the Ginzburg-Landau parameter is increased. We obtain a good agreement between the results based on self-consistent solution of 1GLE with those obtained by variational method.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Las ecuaciones no lineales de Ginzburg-Landau unidimensionales (EGLU) son usadas para estudiar las propiedades de un hilo superconductor mesoscópico rodeado por un campo magnético externo paralelo al eje del hilo. En el marco del modelo Ginzburg-Landau, es posible resolver las EGLU para estados con simetría axial del parámetro de orden. Curvas del parámetro de orden y de magnetización son obtenidas usando tanto el método variacional como un método numérico autoconsistente. Mostramos que, dependiendo del valor del campo magnético aplicado y del tamaño del radio del hilo, la curva de magnetización puede tener un comportamiento diamagnético (M<0) como paramagnético (M&gt;0), además el valor del parámetro de orden en los bordes disminuye cuando el parámetro de Ginzburg-Landau aumenta. Obtenemos una buena concordancia entre los resultados basados en la solución autoconsistente de las EGLU con los obtenidos por el método variacional.]]></p></abstract>

Introducci&#243;n&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Cuando un superconductor, localizado en un campo magn&#233;tico es enfriado  por debajo de su temperatura de transici&#243;n <I>T</I><SUB><I>c</I></SUB>, expele todo el campo magn&#233;tico  de su interior, este efecto es llamado efecto Meissner diamagn&#233;tico. Algunos  materiales superconductores pueden atraer el campo magn&#233;tico presentando  un fascinante efecto llamado Efecto Meissner Paramagn&#233;tico. La teor&#237;a de  Ginzburg-Landau describe este fen&#243;meno en superconductores finitos como  efectos puramente termodin&#225;micos, causados por la presencia de v&#243;rtices  dentro del superconductor. Es bien sabido que supercorrientes de apantallamiento  fluyen en sentido opuesto a las corrientes producidas por el campo magn&#233;tico  externo </FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Bookman"> <FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana" SIZE="2"><I><B>H</B></I></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB><I><B>a</B></I></SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana" SIZE="2">. Estas dos corrientes contribuyen con signos contrarios al momento  magn&#233;tico de la muestra. El valor resultante de la magnetizaci&#243;n <I><B>M</B></I>, puede  ser negativo (diamagn&#233;tico) o positivo (paramagn&#233;tico), dependiendo de  la magnitud de <I><B>H</B></I></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUB><I><B>a</B></I></SUB></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana" SIZE="2"><B> </B>[1]. En trabajos recientes, las ecuaciones de Ginzburg-Landau  dependientes del tiempo con las condiciones de contorno generales han sido  resueltas para analizar la configuraci&#243;n de v&#243;rtices en pel&#237;culas finas  superconductoras rodeadas por diferentes materiales, se encontr&#243; una dependencia  de los campos cr&#237;ticos termodin&#225;micos con el tipo de material del cual  est&#233; rodeada la pel&#237;cula, adem&#225;s, los estados paramagn&#233;ticos, causados  por la compresi&#243;n de flujo, dependen fuertemente del par&#225;metro de DeGennes  <I>b</I> y pueden ser completamente suprimidos para valores peque&#241;os de <I>b</I><B> </B>[2-4].<B>  </B>En el presente art&#237;culo, resolvemos las ecuaciones no lineales unidimensionales  de Ginzburg-Landau [5] para un hilo infinito en presencia de un campo magn&#233;tico  axial. Curvas de magnetizaci&#243;n en funci&#243;n del radio del hilo y del campo  magn&#233;tico son obtenidas, as&#237; como la dependencia del par&#225;metro de orden  con el campo aplicado para varios valores del par&#225;metro de Ginzburg-Landau  <IMG src="/img/fbpe/rtfiuz/v34n2/art03_VP_EQN_0.GIF" ALT="_VP_EQN_0.GIF" WIDTH="31" HEIGHT="28">, donde l es la longitud de penetraci&#243;n y x la longitud de coherencia.  Las ecuaciones de Ginzburg-Landau son resueltas usando el m&#233;todo variacional  [6] y el m&#233;todo de disparos [7, 8]: Mostramos una buena concordancia num&#233;rica  entre los resultados obtenidos por ambos m&#233;todos.&nbsp; </FONT></FONT></P> </MULTICOL> <MULTICOL GUTTER="39" COLS="2">

Para el caso undimensional (simetr&#237;a  axial), el par&#225;metro de orden superconductor adopta la forma  <IMG src="/img/fbpe/rtfiuz/v34n2/art03_VP_EQN_1.GIF" ALT="_VP_EQN_1.GIF" WIDTH="99" HEIGHT="15"> [9-11], donde  r es el m&#243;dulo del radio vector en la secci&#243;n transversal, j es el &#225;ngulo  azimutal y <I>L</I> describe el estado de momento angular o vorticidad (<I>L</I>=0, 1,  2, 3,...) describiendo el estado Meissner (<I>L=</I>0), estado de un v&#243;rtice (<I>L=</I>1)  y el estado de v&#243;rtice gigante (<I>L&gt;</I>1) del hilo. Resultados&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> En la <a href="#f1">Figura 1</a>, vemos que existe una buena concordancia en los resultados  obtenidos para la distribuci&#243;n espacial del par&#225;metro de orden usando el  m&#233;todo variacional (l&#237;nea s&#243;lida), y el m&#233;todo autoconsistente (l&#237;nea punteada).  Podemos apreciar que la soluci&#243;n para el par&#225;metro de orden obedece la  relaci&#243;n </FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Bookman"> <FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana" SIZE="2"><I>Y~r</I></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana"><SUP><I>L</I> </SUP></FONT> <FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Verdana" SIZE="2">para <I>L &#185; </I>0 si <I>r&#174;0</I> [11] tanto en el caso de v&#243;rtice simple,<I>  L</I>=1 (comportamiento lineal) como en el caso de v&#243;rtice gigante <I>L</I>=4.&nbsp;</FONT></FONT><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> </FONT></P>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> En la <a href="#f2">Figura 2</a> mostramos la dependencia del par&#225;metro de orden en funci&#243;n  del campo magn&#233;tico externo para <I>L</I>=0 y (a) <I>k=</I>1.0, (b) <I>k=</I>2.0<I> </I>y (c) <I>k=</I>5.0.  Cuando<I> k</I> aumenta, el par&#225;metro de orden cae mas suavemente para grandes  valores del campo magn&#233;tico. Podemos apreciar que <I>Y</I>=0, (estado normal)  en <I><B>h</B></I>=1.25 para <I>k=</I>1.0, <I><B>h</B></I>=2.2 para <I>k=</I>2.0 y <I><B>h</B></I>=2.8 para k=5, el segundo campo  cr&#237;tico termodin&#225;mico aumenta con <I>k</I>.&nbsp; </FONT></P> </MULTICOL> <MULTICOL GUTTER="39" COLS="2">     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> Las <a href="#f3">Figuras 3(A)</a> y <a href="#f3">3(B)</a> muestran la dependencia de la magnetizaci&#243;n <I>M</I> con  el campo magn&#233;tico aplicado. En la <a href="#f3">Figura 3(A)</a>, la curva de magnetizaci&#243;n  es graficada para un hilo de radio <I>R</I>=1.2x el cual no puede acomodar ning&#250;n  v&#243;rtice, la vorticidad es <I>L</I>=0, presenta una transici&#243;n suave del estado  superconductor al estado normal, el campo magn&#233;tico penetra suavemente  en &#233;l impidiendo la formaci&#243;n de v&#243;rtices en su interior. En la  <a href="#f3">Figura  3(B)</a>, se observan tres ramas de la magnetizacion para un hilo de radio  <I>R</I>=2.25x, saltos discontinuos en la magnetizaci&#243;n corresponden a la transici&#243;n  entre diferentes estados-<I>L</I>. Cuando se incrementa el campo, la magnetizaci&#243;n  se empieza a desviar de la ley lineal t&#237;pica del diamagnetismo perfecto,  simult&#225;neamente el par&#225;metro de orden decrece gradualmente en la vecindad  de la superficie del hilo y parte del campo externo penetra en la muestra.  La secci&#243;n Meissner finaliza y aparece una ca&#237;da abrupta de la magnetizaci&#243;n  hacia <I>h</I>=0.88, donde el sistema pasa a la segunda rama correspondiente al  estado de momento angular <I>L</I>=1, en la que es atrapado un cuanto de flujo,  posteriormente el campo es aumentado pasando el sistema a la tercera rama  correspondiente al estado de vorticidad <I>L</I>=2 con la consiguiente transici&#243;n  del sistema al estado normal.&nbsp; </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><a name="f1"></a></P> </MULTICOL>     <p align="center"><font face="Verdana" size="2"> <IMG src="/img/fbpe/rtfiuz/v34n2/art03Frame1.JPG" ALIGN="BOTTOM" ALT="Frame1.JPG" NAME="Frame1.JPG" WIDTH="602" HEIGHT="218" BORDER="0" VSPACE="5" HSPACE="5"></font></p>

Cuando <I>k </I>es incrementado, el valor del par&#225;metro de orden  en la frontera disminuye. Esta supresi&#243;n de la superconductividad en los  bordes est&#225; relacionada con la disminuci&#243;n de la longitud de coherencia  x al aumentar <I>k</I>. El decaimiento de los electrones superconductores en la  frontera es cada vez mayor conllevando a una disminuci&#243;n de la superconductividad  en los bordes.&nbsp; </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> La <a href="#f5">Figura 5</a>, muestra curvas de magnetizaci&#243;n para (A) <I>k=</I>0.5, <I>L</I>=1, <I>R</I>=4;  (1) <I><B>h</B></I>=0, (2) <I><B>h</B></I>=0.195, (3) <I><B>h</B></I>=0.48 y (B)<I> k=</I>1.0, <I>L</I>=2, <I>R</I>=2.6x. (1) <I><B>h</B></I>=0.45,  (2) <I><B>h</B></I>=0.985, (3) <I><B>h</B></I>=1.52. En las curvas 5A(1) y 5B(1) la inducci&#243;n magn&#233;tica  es mayor que el campo externo <I>b(r)&gt;0</I>, por lo tanto <I>M(r) &gt;0</I> obteni&#233;ndose  curvas paramagn&#233;ticas. Igualmente sucede en las (Curvas 2) pero hasta cierto  valor del radio del hilo <I>R</I>=2.25x para <I><B>h</B></I>=0.195, <I>k=</I>0.5, <I>L</I>=1, y <I>R</I>=1.55x, para  <I><B>h</B></I>=0.985, <I>k=</I>1.0, <I>L</I>=2. Despu&#233;s de dichos valores observamos un t&#237;pico comportamiento  diamagn&#233;tico <I>b&lt;h</I>. Conclusiones&nbsp;</B> </FONT></P>     <P ALIGN="justify"><FONT COLOR="#1f1a17" SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana"> En conclusi&#243;n hemos presentado un estudio de las propiedades de un hilo  infinito superconductor en presencia de un campo magn&#233;tico axial. Obtenemos  curvas de magnetizaci&#243;n y del par&#225;metro de orden en funci&#243;n del campo magn&#233;tico  aplicado y del radio del hilo. Observamos que para ciertos valores del  campo aplicado obtenemos partes paramagn&#233;ticas en la curva de magnetizaci&#243;n,  esto debido a que la inducci&#243;n magn&#233;tica dentro de la muestra es mayor  que el campo, efecto que ocurre en superconductores finitos y es debido  a consideraciones puramente termodin&#225;micas, causadas por la presencia de  v&#243;rtices dentro del superconductor.
