<body><![CDATA[<p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">En las últimas dos décadas se han realizado avances</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">sustanciales para entender la estructura y el funcionamiento</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">de las emociones y la afectividad sobre la</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">conducta humana y su impacto en el ambiente laboral(1-4).</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Por mucho tiempo las emociones fueron ignoradas dentro</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">de este contexto bajo la premisa de que el ambiente de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">trabajo era visto como &quot;un ambiente racional y frío&quot;</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">donde las emociones no tenían cabida(5). Esta visión se ha</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">ido desvaneciendo poco a poco a medida que más</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">investigaciones han ido demostrando como las emociones</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">en el trabajo pueden ayudar a explicar importantes</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">fenómenos tanto individuales como organizacionales(6).</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Específicamente en el ámbito laboral, las emociones han</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">demostrado jugar un rol fundamental en aspectos tales</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">como la satisfacción laboral, el funcionamiento grupal,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">liderazgo, violencia y acoso, y más recientemente el</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">denominado trabajo emocional como característica</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">intrínseca del puesto de trabajo y su influencia en la</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">organización(1,7) .</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">El objetivo del presente artículo es destacar el creciente</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">interés, importancia y nuevos retos que representa el</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">estudio de las emociones en el ambiente de trabajo a</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">través de la revisión de los conceptos fundamentales, los</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">enfoques teóricos y modelos más actuales, su evaluación</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">e intervención.</font></p> <b>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">DEFINICIÓN</font></p> </b>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">La emoción es un constructo muy difícil de definir.</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Parte de su complejidad es que la emoción no es una sola</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">cosa sino que está representada por múltiples componentes</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">que se reflejan en respuestas fisiológicas, conductuales y</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">subjetiva. En este sentido, Fridja(8) sugiere que la emoción</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">es un componente experiencial del afecto y es una</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">apreciación subjetiva de un estado emocional.</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Algunos autores coinciden en afirmar que las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emociones son procesos adaptativos cuyo efecto positivo</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">o negativo dependerá de la valoración o significado que</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">tenga la situación y de los recursos que tengamos para</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">adaptarnos a estos cambios(9-11).</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">La activación emocional que se produce en nuestro</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">organismo como consecuencia de una situación depende</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">fundamentalmente de la valoración personal o significado</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">que esa situación tenga para nosotros. En este sentido,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">una situación nos puede resultar irrelevante, es decir, no</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">nos afecta, no produce ninguna reacción. Mientras que</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">por el contrario, otra situación puede tener un significado</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">positivo o agradable(9). Por ejemplo, el ir a una reunión</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">donde uno se va a encontrar con amigos queridos, un</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">viaje, incluso una actividad nueva en el trabajo que</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">resulte estimulante puede generar emociones positivas.</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">¿Qué sucede cuando una situación la evaluamos como</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">estresante? De acuerdo a Lazarus y Folkman(9,10) estudiosos</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">del estrés y las emociones, cuando una situación es vista</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">como estresante su interpretación se puede dar en dos</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">sentidos cuyo efecto sobre la salud y el bienestar es</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">notablemente distinto. Una situación estresante puede</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">interpretarse como de daño y pérdida o por el contrario</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">como un reto o desafío. En el caso en que la situación es</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">evaluada como daño o pérdida, el individuo percibe</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">amenaza debido a los aspectos negativos vinculados a</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">esta situación. Esta percepción podría estar asociada a la</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">pérdida de la salud, como por ejemplo, en el caso de una</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">enfermedad, o de estima o de posición social, como en el</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">caso de una persona que pierde su empleo. Aquí la</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">persona experimenta rabia, ansiedad, incluso depresión y</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">en muchos casos puede tener manifestaciones físicas que</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">pueden culminar en alguna enfermedad. Cuando una</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">situación estresante es evaluada como un reto o desafío,las emociones asociadas son de esperanza, optimismo,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">alegría y confianza. Por ejemplo, un trabajo nuevo puede</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">generar tensión pero si esta situación es percibida por el</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">individuo como un nuevo reto, su expresión emocional y</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">los recursos de afrontamiento que utiliza para manejarla</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">generaran cambios y efectos muy diferentes a si esta</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">misma situación es percibida como de daño o pérdida;</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">pareciera que las diferencias individuales juegan un rol</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">fundamental en este proceso(11-16).</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Es importante definir la emoción y diferenciarla de los</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">estados de ánimo. En este sentido, Weiss(17) ofrece una</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">taxonomía con el objeto de clarificar estos constructos.</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">De acuerdo con este autor, los estados afectivos</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">constituyen la categoría más general que contiene a las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emociones y a los estados de ánimo(8,17).</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">La emoción es generalmente de corta duración, es</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">muy intensa y está asociada a un estímulo específico.</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Algunas emociones dentro de esta clasificación son: la</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">rabia, la culpa y el orgullo. Por su parte, el estado de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">ánimo es más duradero, más difuso, débil o moderado en</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">intensidad y generalmente no tiene un estímulo específico</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">ligado a él. Weiss(17) clasifica los estados de ánimo en</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">afectos positivos y negativos. Esta diferenciación es muy</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">compleja debido a que no es tan clara ni tiene una expresión</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">específica en el comportamiento humano.</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Existen diversas clasificaciones o taxonomías que</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">reporta la literatura para describir a las emociones(18-20).</font>&nbsp; <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">No obstante la mayoría de ellas muestra un rango muy</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">amplio de adjetivos para describir a las emociones.</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Algunos autores como Ortony y col.(18) prefieren dar una</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">larga lista de emociones sin clasificarlas en positivas o</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">negativas. En este sentido, mencionan por ejemplo al</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">orgullo, pena, culpa, rabia, ira, placer esperanza, felicidad,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">miedo, ansiedad, susto o celos como algunas de las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emociones que experimenta el ser humano. Otros</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">investigadores prefieren clasificar las emociones en términos</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">de positivas o negativas, agradables o desagradables,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">activadoras o desactivadoras(20, 21).</font></p>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Independientemente de la clasificación que se utilice,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">queda claro que todas las emociones que se describen en</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">las diferentes taxonomías se experimentan o son motivadas</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">en el ambiente laboral, teniendo importantes consecuencias</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">en el bienestar del trabajador/a, en el ambiente</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">organizacional y en general en la productividad(4).</font></p> <b>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">ENFOQUES TEÓRICOS</font></b> </p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">La literatura acerca de los enfoques teóricos y los</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">modelos que abordan las emociones en el ambiente laboral</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">indica que se trata de un área que está en crecimiento y por</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">tanto en la actualidad existe una diversidad de enfoques.</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">La mayoría de ellos aborda y enfatiza específicamente las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">implicaciones para el manejo de las emociones en un</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">mundo laboral cambiante de ahí la variedad de enfoques</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">metodológicos(21,22). No obstante, cuatro enfoques son los</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">que predominan en la literatura y que se mencionan a</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">continuación.</font></p>     <blockquote>       <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">1.   La teoría de los eventos afectivos postula que los</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">aspectos   del ambiente laboral, incluyendo las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">condiciones   laborales, roles, diseño del trabajo entre</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">otros,   inician las emociones en el contexto</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">organizacional.   Estos aspectos del trabajo son los que</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">constituyen   los &quot;eventos afectivos&quot;, detonantes o</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">estresores   diarios los cuales actúan sistemáticamente</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">y   conllevan a reacciones conductuales o actitudinales</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">que   pueden tener un impacto negativo sobre el</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">desempeño   laboral. De acuerdo con esta teoría, la</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">frecuencia   de estos eventos más que la intensidad son</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">los   que determinan los resultados(23,24).</font></p>       <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">2.   El trabajo emocional se refiere a cuando los empleados/</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">as   o trabajadores/as requieren desplegar estados</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emocionales   particulares como parte de su trabajo. La</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">disonancia   emocional entre lo que sienten y como se</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">tiene   que comportar tiene un impacto negativo sobre</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">la   salud y efectividad como trabajador/a. Este</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">fenómeno   se ha observado especialmente en las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">personas   que trabajan en el sector de servicios y ha</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">despertado   un gran cúmulo de investigaciones en los</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">últimos   años(1,5).</font></p>       <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">3.   Finalmente, la inteligencia emocional, constituye el</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">enfoque   más popular en la actualidad. Es un enfoque</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">que   termina integrando este campo a pesar de ser</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">controversial,   requiriendo consolidarse desde el punto</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">de   vista de su solidez teórica y de investigación. Sin</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">embargo,   ha puesto sobre el tapete la importancia de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">que   hoy en día las emociones sean un tema fundamental</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">y   el considerar el impacto de las emociones en el</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">ambiente   laboral(25, 26).</font></p> </blockquote> <b>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">EVALUACIÓN DE LAS EMOCIONES EN EL</font></b> <b><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">CONTEXTO LABORAL</font></p> </b>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Se han desarrollado diversas estrategias para evaluar</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">las diferentes emociones que se experimentan en los</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">ambientes laborales. Encontramos las medidas de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">autorreporte que son escalas que se dividen en ítem o</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">preguntas simples y multi-ítemes. En las de ítem simple</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">se evalúa la emoción como una dimensión global por</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">ejemplo, cuán rabioso se siente o cuán alegre se siente. La</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">respuesta se da en una escala bipolar que va desde nada</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">alegre hasta extremadamente alegre. Estas escalas son de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">fácil construcción y comprensión así como rápidas de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">administrar y calificar(27).</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">En cuanto a las multi-ítemes se trata en general de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">listas de chequeo en las cuales se presenta una serie de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">adjetivos con los que los trabajadores/as chequean todas</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">las emociones que puedan estar experimentando. Existen</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">diversas escalas ya diseñadas, entre las más utilizadas y</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">reportadas en la bibliografía se encuentran, la lista de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">adjetivos de los estados afectivos(28), la lista de adjetivos</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">de afectos múltiples(29), y el inventario de afectos positivos</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">y negativos PANAS(30) entre otros.</font></p>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Por otra parte, se han diseñado cuestionarios</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">específicos que evalúan estados emocionales relacionados</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">con el trabajo: como el inventario de expresiones de rabia</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">de Spielberger(31), escala sobre envidia(32); escala de celos</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">interpersonales desarrollada por Mathews y Severa(33).</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Las técnicas de autorreporte son muy eficientes y</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">fáciles de aplicar, sin embargo, el autorreporte puede</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">representar un problema a la hora de que el trabajador/a</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">tenga que decidir o tener conciencia de su estado</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emocional. La deseabilidad social en el caso de algunas</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emociones negativas y la no comprensión clara de los</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">adjetivos, son otras de las dificultades de este tipo de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">instrumentos. Ante estas limitaciones surgen otras técnicas</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">más específicas de evaluación de los estados emocionales</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">como las medidas de la expresión emocional, en las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">cuales se evalúan las expresiones faciales a través de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">medidas electrofisiológicas, tono de la voz, gestos,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">posturas para cada tipo de emoción.</font> </p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Se han desarrollado algunos sistemas de observación</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">estructurada como el sistema específico de códigos</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emocionales (SPAFF por sus siglas en inglés) diseñada</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">por Gottman(34). Este sistema separa las expresiones</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">emocionales en categorías positivas y negativas tales</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">como buen humor, alegría, disfrute, rabia, tristeza,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">disgusto, etc. Contiene códigos que incluyen el tono y</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">contenidos verbales, gestos y posturas corporales,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">concediéndole gran importancia a estos componentes</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">expresivos.</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Las expresiones emocionales también pueden ser</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">evaluadas a través de códigos relacionados exclusivamente</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">con cambios en la expresión facial. Ekman y Friesen(35)</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">crearon un sistema de evaluación denominado sistema de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">códigos de acciones faciales (FACS por su siglas en</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">inglés), el cual contiene 46 unidades de acción facial</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">anatómica que corresponden a cambios observables en el</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">rostro y que se codifican de acuerdo a lo observado en un</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">video. Sin embargo, en algunas situaciones emocionales</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">las personas pueden inhibir la expresión facial y por otro</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">lado el tiempo de aplicación y codificación de las acciones</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">faciales suele ser muy largo.</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Otra expresión emocional que tiene una posibilidad de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">ser medida, particularmente en el ambiente laboral o en</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">grupos de trabajo, es la voz. La personas en las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">organizaciones y en los grupos de trabajo están</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">constantemente hablando y la voz contiene información</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">sobre el estado emocional de quien habla. Con el uso de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">la tecnología se pueden realizar análisis acústicos en</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">relación a la frecuencia, intensidad, tono, inflexiones,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">logrando diferenciar estados emocionales(36).</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Las medidas de tipo fisiológico asociadas a la expresión</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">de emociones tales como, la actividad del sistema nervioso</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">autónomo, la electroencefalografía diferencial, el registro</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">del reflejo de parpadeo, han sido utilizadas específicamente</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">en estudios controlados de laboratorio(37).</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Al abordar la evaluación de los estados emocionales</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">se han considerado distintos aspectos de la emoción como</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">son: la expresión, la vivencia de la experiencia, las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">conductas asociadas, las cogniciones o pensamientos y</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">las respuestas fisiológicas. Por ello han surgido diversas</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">estrategias para valorar los distintos aspectos de las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emociones que han pretendido mostrar una parte del</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">complejo mundo emocional.</font></p> <b>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">INTERVENCIÓN PARA EL MANEJO DE</font></b> <b><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">EMOCIONES EN EL TRABAJO</font></p> </b>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Son diversos los enfoques que se utilizan para el</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">manejo o la regulación de las emociones en los contextos</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">laborales cambiantes y exigentes de nuestros días. Es así</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">como las técnicas para lograr por un lado identificar las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emociones, aprender a regularlas y disminuir las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">consecuencias negativas, van dirigidas hacia el trabajador</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">en lo individual, hacia los equipos de trabajo y hacia las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">instituciones u organizaciones.</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Dentro de las estrategias individuales un elemento</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">fundamental es el fomento de hábitos saludables. Entre</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">estas estrategias se encuentra la actividad física, no sólo</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">por los beneficios intrínsecos que tiene para la salud en</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">general, sino que facilita el aprendizaje de las señales</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">corporales relacionadas con estados emocionales e</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">incrementa un estado general de bienestar que minimiza</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">el impacto que sobre el individuo pueden tener las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emociones negativas.</font></p>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Las estrategias de comunicación asertiva, la escucha</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">activa, el percibir el apoyo de los otros como compañeros,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">supervisores, denominado apoyo social; se han convertido</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">en herramientas fundamentales a la hora de incrementar</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">los estados emocionales positivos.</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Técnicas de mayor especialización pueden ser</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">utilizadas para que el trabajador/a pueda en una primera</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">instancia identificar sus emociones negativas para luego</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">lograr autorregular el impacto de las mismas (reestructuración</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">cognitiva(38), entrenamiento en asertividad(39),</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">resolución de problemas(40), modelaje cognitivo</font> <font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#292526">encubierto(39), cambio de autoverbalizaciones(39)).</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">En cuanto a las estrategias a nivel grupal es fundamental</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">hacer énfasis en el aprendizaje de reconocimiento y</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">habilidades en el manejo de las emociones y en la</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">identificación de las diversas formas de expresión</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emocional. La capacitación a los líderes en estrategias</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">para implementar normas y condiciones para un clima</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">positivo en los equipos de trabajo redunda en un beneficios</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">directos para los trabajadores/as y para la organización(41).</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">El abordaje en las organizaciones apunta a generar</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">programas para el desarrollo de líderes, creación de una</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">cultura organizacional más humana que legitimice la</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">importancia de las emociones y su manejo.</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">A nivel organizacional o institucional, se han descrito</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">tres niveles para abordar el manejo de las emociones(42):</font></p>     <blockquote>       <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">1.   Prevención primaria: modifica o elimina las fuentes</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">de   emociones negativas presentes en el ambiente</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">laboral,   orientándose hacia el cambio organizacional</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">y   se centra en una serie de actividades como rediseño</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">de   las tareas, horarios de trabajo flexibles, hacer</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">participe   al trabajador/a de su desarrollo de carrera,</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">construir   equipos de trabajo bien cohesionados, proveer</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">de   apoyo social y retroalimentación entre supervisores</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">y   compañeros, establecer políticas justas para los</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">trabajadores/a,   compartir las recompensas, analizar</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">los   roles laborales tanto como el establecimiento de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">metas   y estimular la participación.</font></p>       <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">2.   Prevención secundaria: se focaliza en el desarrollo de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">la   autoconciencia y entrenamiento en habilidades y</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">destrezas   de los trabajadores/as y equipos de trabajo</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">para   lograr experimentar emociones más saludables</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">minimizando   las consecuencias negativas, incluye</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">programas   de promoción de la salud y cambios de</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">estilo   de vida.</font></p>       <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">3.   Prevención terciaria consiste en programas específicos</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">de   tratamiento para recuperar al trabajador/a de los</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">múltiples   efectos que causan la experimentación</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">constante   de emociones negativas derivadas del</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">entorno   laboral.</font></p> </blockquote>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">Tal como se ha evidenciado con anterioridad, la</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">identificación y regulación de los estados emocionales es</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">una tarea compleja que requiere planificación y abordajes</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">a diversos niveles. Más allá del nivel individual las</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">emociones desempeñan una función social, por tanto su</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">regulación y expresión impactará de modos muy diversos</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">en el contexto laboral.</font></p> <b>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">PERSPECTIVAS FUTURAS</font></p>     <p ALIGN="justify" style="line-height: 100%; word-spacing: 0"></b><font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">El gran volumen de publicaciones y de eventos</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">científicos sobre las emociones en las organizaciones en</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">los últimos 10 años parece indicar que la misma constituye</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">un amplio, diverso y prometedor campo de investigación</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">con importantes implicaciones a nivel organizacional y</font> <font SIZE="2" COLOR="#292526" face="Verdana">gerencial.
