Con el propósito de detectar el gen mecA se estudiaron 46 cepas, aisladas de muestras clínicas de pacientes atendidos en los diferentes servicios médicos del Servicio Autónomo Hospital Universitario “Antonio Patricio de Alcalá”, Cumaná, estado Sucre. Según las pruebas de susceptibilidad antimicrobiana, 38 (82,6%) estaban clasificadas como SAMR y 8 (17,4%) como SAMS. Se determinaron la concentración inhibitoria mínima (CIM) a oxacilina y presencia de la proteína fijadora de la penicilina modificada (PBP2a) y la detección del gen mecA, mediante la reacción en cadena de la polimerasa. El 93,5% de las cepas resultó PBP2a positivo, en el 100% se detectó el gen mecA y la CMI50 de oxacilina fue de 32 &#956;g/mL. Se recomienda la implementación de la detección del gen mecA, tanto en cepas de SAMR como SAMS en los laboratorios de microbiología, con lo cual se evitarían resultados errados y, en consecuencia, tratamientos inadecuados en los pacientes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The percentages of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) are high when compared with methicillin-sensitive (SAMS), both in hospitalized and community patients. With the purpose of detecting the mecA gene, 46 strains were studied, isolated from clinical samples of patients treated in the different medical services of the Autonomous University Hospital Service “Antonio Patricio de Alcalá”, Cumaná, Sucre State. According to the antimicrobial susceptibility tests, 38 (82.6%) were classified as MRSA and 8 (17.4%) as SAMS. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) to oxacillin and the presence of the modified penicillin binding protein (PBP2a) and the detection of the mecA gene were determined by the polymerase chain reaction. The 93.5% of the strains were PBP2a positive, in 100% the mecA gene was detected and the MIC50 of oxacillin was 32 &#956;g/mL. The implementation in microbiology laboratories of the detection of the mecA gene is recommended, both in strains of SAMR and SAMS, which should avoid erroneous results and, consequently, inadequate treatments in patients.]]></p></abstract>

Desde los  años 90 empezaron a describirse infecciones por SAMR en grupos de personas no  relacionadas a los factores antes mencionados, reconociéndose como infecciones  causadas por SAMR asociados a la comunidad (IAC) para diferenciarlo de las  infecciones asociadas a la atención de salud (IAAS). Estas primeras  observaciones fueron realizadas en grupos de niños, en homosexuales, equipos de  jugadores, internos de cárceles, entre otros. La presencia de esta infección se  volvió más frecuente en algunos países desarrollados [3].</span></font></p>     <p style="text-align: justify; punctuation-wrap: simple; margin-left: 0cm"> <font Las placas fueron incubadas a 37 ºC en aerobiosis durante 24 h. La confirmación  de la identificación del microorganismo se realizó mediante las siguientes  características fenotípicas: morfología de las colonias, morfología celular,  fermentación del manitol, producción de catalasa, coagulasa libre y ADNasa,  según lo descrito por Koneman y col. [10]</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT"> Susceptibilidad antimicrobiana</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">:  Se determinó mediante la prueba de difusión en agar, siguiendo las  recomendaciones descritas por el Instituto de Estándares Clínicos y de  Laboratorios, del inglés: </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">Clinical  and Laboratory Standards Institute </span></i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">(CLSI) [11].  Entre los agentes antimicrobianos utilizados se incluyeron: 1 &#956;g de oxacilina (OX),  10 &#956;g de penicilina (P), 10 &#956;g de ampicilina (AM), 30 &#956;g de cefoxitin (FOX),  10/10 &#956;g de ampicilina-sulbactam (SAM) (Laboratorios Britania S.A). Se  utilizaron los puntos de corte recomendados para </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT"> Staphylococcus </span></i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">spp. por el CLSI  [11]. La cepa utilizada como control fue </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">ATCC</span><span style="font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT"><font size="2"><sup>®</sup> </font></span><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT"> 25923.</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT"> Producción de &#946;-lactamasa</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">:  Fue determinada con la lectura del halo de inhibición de discos de SAM (10/10 &#956;g)  comparado, a su vez, con los discos de P (10 &#956;g) y AM (10 &#956;g). Una cepa se  consideró productora de &#946;-lactamasa cuando los discos de AM y P tuvieron halos  de inhibición que indicaban resistencia, pero el disco de SAM era sensible,  según los puntos de corte recomendados por el CLSI [11].</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT"> Concentración inhibitoria mínima (CIM) a OX</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">:  Se efectuó utilizando el método de dilución en agar, y se interpretó de acuerdo  a los criterios del CLSI [11]. La amplificación se realizó en un termociclador TECHNE TC-312 de acuerdo al  siguiente protocolo: desnaturalización a 94 °C por 5 min, seguido de 30 ciclos a  94 °C por 30 seg, 52 °C por 30 seg y 72 °C por 30 seg, con una extensión final a  72 °C por 5 min. Los productos amplificados por PCR fueron separados mediante  electroforesis en gel de agarosa al 1% y teñidos con bromuro de etidio para su  posterior visualización con luz ultravioleta y documentación fotográfica. La  corrida electroforética se realizó a 100 voltios por 30 min.</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">Control  de calidad</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">:  Una cepa de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">ATCC  25923 se utilizó para el control de calidad de los medios de cultivo y como  control negativo del gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A.  La cepa de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT"> meticilino resistente ATCC 43300, fue incluida como control positivo para la  detección de la PBP2a y del gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A.  Todas las cepas utilizadas como control fueron suministradas por el Instituto  Nacional de Higiene Rafael Rangel (INHRR), Caracas-Venezuela.</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">Análisis  de resultados</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">:  se realizó mediante la obtención de los porcentajes de frecuencia de las  variables estudiadas utilizando el programa estadístico SPSS versión 11.5</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"><b> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-BoldMT">Resultados</span></b></font></p>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">De las 46 cepas  de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT"> incluidas en el presente estudio, 28 (60,9%) provenían de pacientes con  diagnóstico de IAAS y 18 (39,1%) de IAC. Los aislados de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">se  obtuvieron, principalmente, a partir de infecciones de piel y tejidos blandos  (58,7%), seguido de bacteriemia (23,9%), contaminación de catéteres (6,6%),  osteomielitis (4,3%), artritis séptica aguda (4,3%) y sinusitis (2,3%).</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">Todas las cepas  de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT"> crecieron a una CIM igual o superior a 4 &#956;g/mL de OX, la CMI50 fue de 32 &#956;g/mL.  El 76,1% de las cepas mostraron ser productoras de &#946;-lactamasa, tipo  penicilinasa. De las 28 cepas de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT"> aisladas de pacientes con IAAS, 3 no aglutinaron para la detección de PBP2a y  fueron productoras de &#946;-lactamasa, mientras que, en el caso de las 18 cepas  aisladas de pacientes con IAC, todas resultaron positivas (<a href="#tab1">Tabla 1</a>).</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="center"><a name="tab1"> <img border="0" src="/img/fbpe/rsvm/v37n2/art03tab1.gif" width="367" height="258"></a></p>     
<p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">En la  <a href="#fig1">figura 1</a>  se muestra la amplificación del gen ribosomal 16S (A) y </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A  (B). Todas las cepas de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT"> portaron dichos genes.</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="center"><a name="fig1"> <img border="0" src="/img/fbpe/rsvm/v37n2/art03fig1.gif" width="406" height="353"></a></p>     
<p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">En cuanto al  tipo de muestra clínica, se observó que SAMR abunda en las infecciones de piel y  tejidos blandos (27/58,7%), tanto en pacientes hospitalizados como en los no  hospitalizados, de los cuales, 15 (53,6%) aislados se recuperaron de infecciones  de piel y partes blandas de pacientes hospitalizados con diagnóstico de IAAS y  12 (66,7%) de dichas infecciones de pacientes no hospitalizados con diagnóstico  de IAC; mientras que todos los casos de bacteriemia (11/23,9%) provenían de  pacientes hospitalizados, con diagnóstico de IAAS.</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"><b> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-BoldMT">Discusión</span></b></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">ha  persistido como un patógeno cada vez más importante, debido al arsenal de  factores de virulencia que presenta, sumado a su gran capacidad para generar  resistencia a los agentes antimicrobianos [15,16]. SAMR, ya sea adquirido en la  comunidad o en el ambiente hospitalario, es uno de los principales  microorganismos de importancia clínica en el hombre, por su distribución mundial  y porque su impacto en las tasas de morbilidad y mortalidad es considerablemente  alto [16-19].</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">De acuerdo a los  resultados obtenidos, el aislamiento de SAMR a partir de muestras clínicas de  pacientes con IAAS resultó superior (60,9%) al de pacientes con IAC (39,1%).  Estos resultados difieren de los obtenidos por Guzmán y Lozada [8], en un  estudio realizado en pacientes hospitalizados y atendidos en la emergencia del  mismo hospital, quienes reportaron un 45,5% y 16,7% de aislados de SAMR a partir  de pacientes con IAAS y IAC, respectivamente, con lo que se demostró que SAMR se  aísla tanto de pacientes hospitalizados como de pacientes con IAC, lo cual es  preocupante, dada la facilidad con que se puede transmitir esta bacteria entre  las personas.</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">Se comprobó, a  través de la CIM, que el 100% de las cepas de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">eran  resistentes a OX; sin embargo, en tres de ellas no se evidenció la presencia de  la PBP2a por el método de aglutinación. Louie </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">et al </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT"> reportaron resultados óptimos con el uso de este método [20], mientras que en  otro estudio, los resultados fueron discordantes [4]. Los métodos fenotípicos  utilizados para la detección de la meticilino resistencia requieren de la  expresión de la PBP2a y el problema radica en la característica de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT"> Staphylococcus </span></i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">de presentar  cepas heterogéneas respecto a la resistencia a la meticilina; por otra parte,  dicha expresión puede estar influenciada por las condiciones de cultivo como el  pH, la temperatura de incubación y la concentración del inóculo bacteriano y de  cloruro de sodio [7,21,22]. Varios autores han señalado que algunas cepas  meticilino resistentes no expresan la proteína PBP2a sin previa estimulación  (cepas Eagle type) [22-24] </span><b> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-BoldMT">y </span> </b><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">el resultado  será reportado como falso negativo</span><b><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-BoldMT">, </span></b><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">por  lo que es necesario contar con métodos confirmatorios como la detección del gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A,  la cual es considerada como método de referencia [4,25].</span></font></p>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">En relación a la  detección del gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A  en los aislados de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">,  los resultados obtenidos en este estudio difieren de los publicados por  Castellano y col. [14], quienes encontraron 17,48% de cepas SAMR en un estudio  realizado en el Servicio Autónomo Hospital Universitario de Maracaibo, las  cuales resultaron positivas para detección de la PBP2a y el gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A.</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">Al comparar los  hallazgos de la CIM y la PBP2a con los resultados de PCR obtenidos en el  presente estudio, se observó que los mismos se correlacionaron en un 93,5%. Tal  discrepancia se debió a que se obtuvieron tres cepas resistentes a  betaláctamicos (P, FOX y OXA: 4 &#956;g/mL), productoras de &#946;-lactamasa, según la  disociación de los discos de SAM y AM, con PBP2a negativo, pero positivas para  el gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A.  Los resultados del antibiograma y PBP2a demostraron un fenotipo correspondiente  a cepas hiperproductoras de &#946;-lactamasa, por lo que, para efectos de este  estudio, si no se hubiese detectado el gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A  en ellas, se hubiesen clasificado como posibles portadoras de resistencia límite  o “bordeline” a oxacilina (BORSA). Al respecto, Vásquez y col. [4] y Castellano  y col. [14], también reportaron cepas de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT"> resistentes a OX, con PBP2a negativo.</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">La falta de  expresión de la PBP2a en tres de las cepas portadoras del gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A,  pudiera deberse a la acción del gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">I.  Según Petinaki </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">et al. </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">[26],  la expresión del gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A  es regulada por proteínas codificadas por el sistema inductor/represor </span> <i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">bla</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">R1/</span><i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">bla</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">I  asociado a la penicilinasa y por los genes </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">R1  y </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">I.  Específicamente, el gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">R1  codifica para una proteina inactivadora del gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">I,  mientras que </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">I  codifica para una proteína represora del gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A;  cuando </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">I  se encuentra activado, una cepa que alberga en su cromosoma el gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A,  fenotípicamente se observa sensible a los &#946;-lactámicos.</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">La  implementación de la detección oportuna del gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A  en el SAHUAPA favorecería el tratamiento adecuado de los pacientes con  infecciones por SAMR, a la par que se evitaría la presión selectiva de este tipo  de microorganismo al utilizar &#946;-lactámicos, como consecuencia de un reporte de  aislamiento de SAMS errado. El control de infecciones por SAMR es importante  para evitar la propagación de este tipo de cepas; en cuanto a las estrategias a  aplicar, tanto en hospitales como en la comunidad, deben estar dirigidas a la  detección oportuna de estos microorganismos, el tratamiento adecuado de las  infecciones y la optimización de las medidas básicas de higiene.</span></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"><b> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-BoldMT">Conclusión</span></b></font></p>     <p style="text-autospace: none" align="justify"><font face="Verdana"> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">Los resultados  del presente estudio permiten concluir que, tanto las cepas de </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">S. aureus </span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT"> aisladas de pacientes con IAAS como con IAC atendidos en el SAHUAPA y  clasificadas previamente como SAMR o SAMS, según el antibiograma, son portadoras  del gen </span><i> <span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPS-ItalicMT">mec</span></i><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT">A,  por lo tanto, son resistentes a todos los &#946;-lactámicos.
