Se desarrolló una investigación de enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño cuasi-experimental de pre-test y post-test, con grupo experimental y grupo de control. La muestra estuvo conformada por 46 estudiantes, distribuidos equitativamente en ambos grupos. Para el análisis inferencial se emplearon pruebas no paramétricas, específicamente la prueba de rangos con signo de Wilcoxon, debido a la ausencia de normalidad en los datos. Los resultados evidenciaron mejoras estadísticamente significativas en el grupo experimental tanto en la ejecución del diagrama como en la calidad del producto final, así como en el diseño global del diagrama de Ishikawa. Se concluye que la integración de herramientas digitales de mapeo mental contribuye de manera significativa al fortalecimiento del análisis causal y a la mejora de competencias asociadas a la gestión de la calidad en contextos educativos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The study analyzed the effect of using the MindMaster software on the design of the Ishikawa diagram among university students in the social sciences. A quantitative approach was applied using a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design with an experimental group and a control group. The sample consisted of 46 students equally distributed between both groups. Inferential analysis was conducted using non-parametric tests, specifically the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, due to the absence of normality in the dataset. The results showed statistically significant improvements in the experimental group in both the execution and quality of the final diagram, as well as in the overall design of the Ishikawa diagram. It is concluded that the integration of digital mind-mapping tools significantly enhances causal analysis and strengthens competencies associated with quality management in educational contexts.]]></p></abstract>
