El experimento fue desarrollado en el Centro Experimental de Investigación y Producción Amazónica. La investigación utilizó un diseño experimental completamente aleatorizado con tres repeticiones. Se emplearon dos variedades de lechuga Cherokee Rz (81-36) y Starfighter Rz (81-85). Se realizó la toma de datos a los 28 y 35 días después del trasplante. Los resultados mostraron que el sistema NFT obtuvo los mejores valores, con un promedio de 17 hojas planta-1, un área foliar de 2,225.6 cm2 y un rendimiento agrícola de 21,552 kg ha-1; la variedad de mejor resultado fue la Starfighter con 15 hojas planta-1, 1,725 cm2 de área foliar y 16,104 kg ha-1 de rendimiento a los 35 días desde el trasplante.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The objective of the study was to evaluate the morphophysiological, productive and agricultural yield indicators of the lettuce varieties Cherokee Rz (81-36) and Starfighter Rz (81-85), in NFT hydroponic system and conventional system. The experiment was developed at the Experimental Center for Amazonian Research and Production. The research used a fully randomized experimental design with three replications. Two varieties of lettuce were used: Cherokee Rz (81-36) and Starfighter Rz (81-85). Data were taken at 28 and 35 days after transplantation. The results showed that the NFT system obtained the best values, with an average of 17 leaves plant-1, a leaf area of 2,225.6 cm2 and an agricultural yield of 21,552 kg ha-1; the variety with the best result was the Starfighter with 15 leaves plant-1, 1,725 cm2 of leaf area and 16,104 kg ha-1 of yield at 35 days from transplanting.]]></p></abstract>
