INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

Scope and Editorial Policy

Más Vita. Revista de Ciencias de la Salud is a scientific publication supported by the Venezuelan Association for Social Research for Humanity (ACVENISPROH). Its mission is to promote, develop, and strengthen a research culture in the field of health sciences at regional, national, and international levels. The journal provides a space for the dissemination of research advances and results, aimed at both emerging and established researchers who wish to share their contributions with the scientific community.

Published quarterly, Más Vita releases four issues per year, accepting contributions from national and international authors. Submissions must be unpublished, meet high scientific quality standards, and may be presented in various formats: original research, literature reviews, technological development reports, scientific essays, as well as proposals for models and innovations. Manuscripts must not be under simultaneous review by other journals.

Article selection is based on originality, social relevance, scientific rigor, timeliness, and contribution to the field. To ensure transparency and objectivity in evaluation, a double-blind peer review system is applied, where manuscripts are assessed by subject matter experts with strong methodological backgrounds.

Manuscript Format and Preparation

General Aspects

  1. The publication guidelines for Más Vita follow the Vancouver Norms.
  2. All works by national or foreign researchers may be published, provided they meet the required scientific quality criteria.
  3. Articles related to completed research, literature reviews, technological development reports, scientific essays, proposals for educational models and innovations, products of thesis or dissertation work, promotion work, or institutional projects will be included. Submitted works must be a contribution to the field of health sciences.
  4. Submission of a manuscript does not imply any commitment to publication. Publication will only occur upon approval by the Arbitration Committee, and the author(s) will be notified by email, including the publication certificate. Having an acceptance letter does not exempt authors from making modifications requested by the Editorial Committee.
  5. Articles will be evaluated based on originality, social relevance, timeliness, contribution, scientific rigor, and compliance with the editorial standards established by this journal.
  6. Authors are strongly advised not to submit the same article simultaneously to other journals.
  7. If the Editorial Committee or reviewers detect plagiarism, the article will be returned to the author and the author will be sanctioned for two years, during which time they may not publish in this journal.
  8. Authors will be asked to transfer the economic rights of published articles so that the journal may publish them in physical and/or electronic formats, including the Internet.
  9. Articles may be submitted in OpenOffice or Microsoft Word formats.
  10. All articles will undergo a rigorous peer review process. The system selected by the Editorial Committee of Más Vita. Revista de Ciencias de la Salud
  11. is the double-blind system. In the double-blind system (Double–blind review), reviewers do not know the identity or academic affiliation of the authors, and vice versa.
  12. Authors are advised to omit direct references to their own previous publications, as this may hinder the evaluation process (Double–blind review).
  13. It is recommended that the number of co-authors does not exceed 4. If there are more authors, a certificate of participation in a research project from a Higher Education Institution (HEI), Research Center, Research Network, or similar entity must be provided. If the article is a clinical or experimental case, it must be accompanied by the corresponding Bioethics certificate.
  14. The original article must include at the top: the name(s) of the author(s), academic degree(s), institutional affiliation(s), email address(es), ORCID code(s), and the corresponding affiliation. Up to two (2) institutional affiliations may be included.
  15. All authors must register in the journal's OJS system.
  16. Please provide your ORCID ID. This is mandatory. If you do not have one, please register at: https://orcid.org/.
  17. If the author(s) have more than one identifier (Research Gate, Academia, Google Scholar, or others), please include it both in the OJS registration and in the data sent by email (if using that system for submission).
  18. The article must be accompanied by a letter addressed to the Editorial Committee.
