Form and preparation of manuscripts

  1. Works should be about interdisciplinary research, which may be theoretical or empirical studies of sectors/cases of local, regional and international order. The authors must guarantee that the submitted works are unpublished and are not being submitted to other research journals. If this is the case, the author may be sanctioned with non-publication for an indefinite period in the journal. The maximum number of authors accepted is four (4), exceptionally up to six (6) may be accepted with due justification.
  2. All works are subject to an initial evaluation by the Editor and the Editorial Committee (made up of experts in the various areas of knowledge), after approval the referees are assigned, for which the Editorial Committee reserves the right to publish the articles that meet the publication criteria established in the Journal. Works that pass this evaluation will be arbitrated by specialists in the area of knowledge, specifically through the "blind peer" method. In order to be published, two positive evaluations of the same must be obtained, even if they present corrections.
  3. The works will be submitted via the Web through two channels: 1) Registration in the OJS (Open Journal System), accepting the established editorial standards and assigning the publication rights. It is important that the author(s)' data is correctly filled in the registration; or 2) Through the email wileidys.artigas@urbe.edu.ve; in case of having any problem communicate through the email telos@urbe.edu or wileidys.artigas@urbe.edu.ve; in both cases the author authorizes the journal to publish and guarantees point 1.
  4. After the review of the respective referees (which should not exceed 6 weeks) the author or authors are informed of the necessary corrections required by the referees in case of being accepted. In the same way, they will communicate via the Web the acceptance or rejection of the article.
  5. The works can be presented in Spanish, English and Portuguese. The abstract must also be translated into English, with an extension of between two hundred (200) and three hundred (300) words; it must also contain between five (5) and ten (10) keywords in each one, which are also translated into English on the abstract page. The abstract must contain: objective, main authors, methodology and conclusions.
  6. The accepted extension of the work will be between 15 and 25 pages, with an arial 12p font, transcribed at 1.5 spacing on one side only. Longer works may be accepted depending on their relevance and content.
  7. The structure of the articles must be the following:

7.1 For the design: the organization of the same in the first pages is specified in point 5.

7.2 For the content: first 3 pages (Identified abstract, Unidentified abstract (for the case of anonymous material) and unidentified abstract, Introduction, Body (which will depend on the type of research), Conclusions and Bibliographic References. It is important to place the titles in bold and aligned to the left. If there are notes, they will be made at the foot of the page. Mathematical symbols and formulas must be made with the respective function in the text editor or support program. The graphics, tables and images must have their title and source, if necessary they must be presented in additional files. They must be written in the third person singular (impersonal), have adequate punctuation and lack spelling errors, maintaining balance in the structure of the paragraphs.

8. The bibliographic references cited in the text must appear in the list of references at the end of the work (and vice versa). Carefully observe that all references are indicated, that the spelling of the authors' names corresponds and that the dates given in the text are the same as those in the references. Avoid citations from unreliable sources, especially in the case of the internet. The citations will be in the traditional format Last name (year, p.) removing the number of pages for cases of paraphrasing or use of the idea, in case of being documents of organisms the name of the organism or institution is cited (year), in case of having more than two authors the word et al must be added before the year (only in the citations, because in the references it must appear complete). If the quote is textual of more than 40 words it must be separated in a block at 1 space with indentation of 5 spaces between the right and left margin.

9. Similarly, bibliographic references should be written in alphabetical order by the last name of the (first) author and in French indentation. Multiple references from the same author (or identical group of authors) are ordered by year of publication, if the year of publication is also the same, differentiate them by writing a letter a, b, c, etcetera, after the year, format that will be used in the same way in the citations.

10. To reference different types of documents, APA 7th edition standards must be followed.
