The objective of the study is to validate the Digital Competencies of Higher Education Students (CDAES) measurement instrument to identify the digital skills and capabilities of Peruvian university students. The instrument was applied to 210 students of the first cycle of a private Peruvian university. The results obtained show high indicators in each dimension evaluated. It is concluded that the application of the digital competencies questionnaire allows to know the digital skills of students who begin their university education.
