The present time evidences the existence of a close interrelation between the processes of local development and the capacity of people or organizations, public as well as private, to produce broad agreements and generate networks that connect different efforts in order to create the necessary conditions to permit propelling economic growth and social development. This study is framed in this context and its object is to propose some business strategies that somehow lead to stimulating the dynamics and development of towns, and that, among other aspects, permit the formation of networks able to structure economic platforms that promote processes of change for improving collective well-being. To achieve such a purpose, a documentary descriptive analysis was carried out that permits characterizing some elements of local development and business associativeness. Conclusions were that by building bonds of trust, fomenting processes of cooperation between companies and between the business sectors and other public, private and community organizations; by impelling evolutionary processes of specialization and innovation, starting with sharing knowledge and reinforcing competences; identifying scenarios; and impacting socially, the performance of companies and the territory as a whole can be improved.
