Competencies and strategies implemented in student entrepreneurial ventures at the University of Guayaquil. Prohominum [online]. 2026, vol.8, n.1, pp.146-158. Epub 06-Abr-2026. The objective of this research was to evaluate the administrative skills, financial competencies, and strategies applied in entrepreneurial ventures developed by the student community of the University of Guayaquil, using a cross-sectional design for the year 2024. The study adopted a mixed-methods approach with a descriptive-conclusive scope. In the first phase, a documentary review of the main theoretical approaches to entrepreneurship was conducted. Subsequently, a survey was administered to 1,419 students from the university’s 17 faculties to identify entrepreneurial profiles, types of ventures, applied strategies, and main barriers. The results indicate that 13% of students are engaged in entrepreneurial activities, primarily in the commerce, accommodation, and service sectors. Finally, based on contemporary theories of interdisciplinary collaboration and entrepreneurship, a proposal for interfaculty collaborative strategies (PECI) is presented to enhance the sustainability and scalability of student entrepreneurial ventures.
