ROJAS CHUQUIHUACCHA, Gustavo. UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN SOCIAL NETWORKS AND THEIR TECHNOLOGICAL LITERACY IN THE DIGITAL AGE. Aula Virtual [online]. 2024, vol.5, n.12, e329. Epub 25-Nov-2024. ISSN 2665-0398. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.12797401.
The present study examines the role of technological literacy in social media interactions and its impact on the activities of university students. The research was carried out from a positivist perspective, using a quantitative approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional and correlational design. The sample consisted of 118 students from the Professional Academic School of Education, selected from a total population of 1027 students. Two questionnaires validated by experts were used, and a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.918 was obtained, which indicates high internal consistency of the measurement instruments. The results, analyzed using Spearman's correlation coefficient (Rho), showed a positive and strong correlation (0.384) between technological literacy and students' interaction on social networks. These results indicate that there is a significant and direct relationship between these two variables in the context of the students of the Professional Academic School of Education of the Faculty of Education of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) in 2023. These findings highlight the importance of promoting technological literacy among students. students and their influence on their online interactions.
