DE LA CRUZ- ABREGU, Verónica et al. Anxiety in pregnant women with and without participation in an obstetric psychoprophylaxis educational program in a Maternal and Child Center in Metropolitan Lima - Peru. e-Rev. Multidiscip. The aim of the study was to determine whether there is a discrepancy in the experience of anxiety during childbirth in pregnant women without and with participation in a prenatal obstetric psychoprophylaxis program in a maternal and child center in Metropolitan Lima. The research is framed within the framework of the fifth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), which seeks to achieve gender equality and empower women. Its relationship with this SDG lies in the importance of guaranteeing maternal well-being during pregnancy and childbirth, promoting strategies that help reduce psychoemotional risk factors, such as anxiety. The study was observational, prospective, cross-sectional, analytical and quantitative. The sample consisted of 50 pregnant women who received delivery care between the months of June, July and August 2022, divided into two groups: 25 pregnant women with prenatal care and 25 without prenatal care. Using the State/Trait Anxiety Inventory adapted by Guillen in 1982. The internal consistency of the instrument showed reliability coefficients between 0.90 and 0.93 for the State subscale and between 0.84 and 0.87 for the Range subscale. Once the information had been compiled in Excel, it was imported into IBM SPSS version 22 for processing, considering descriptive and inferential analyses according to the characteristics of the study variables. The results were presented in tables and figures. It was concluded that there is no difference in experiencing state anxiety in the labor process in pregnant women with and without participation in a prenatal obstetric psychoprophylaxis program.
