The comprehension of esthetic principles should permit a logical evaluation of the fundamentals of beauty. This requires esthetic training to allow the development of an objetive criteria. Investigations have resulted in the formulation and verification of a set of principles of visual perception. The formulation of those principles or parameters may be used as a guide. Composition, unity, dominance, cohesive and segregative forces, balance, proportion, simmetry and personality are discussed.
