The purpose of this research was to determine through clinical and laboratory studies the possibility to use composite resins in order to make post and cores without any type of metal structure inside root canals in endodontically treated teeth. In the experimental study it was demonstrated that the adhesive resin had the capacity to prolong toward the dentinal tubules located around the root canal walls and also the vertical resistance of the dentinal tubules with regard to the long axis of the tooh. The clinical study was done during 11 years and it indicated that the composite resin post and cores along final restorations cumplies with the objetives of health, funtion and esthetic in endodontically treated teeth.
