Nickel-Titanium alloy (NiTi) has innovated endodontics field. Bibliographic documentation is yet scarce, however after this review the author, concludes that the flexibility property of this alloy makes it a convenient material to use in endodontics. NiTi files, both hand files and rotative  have the potential capacity to increase the ability of the dentist to work on curved root canals.To obtain the best results with NiTi, more research should be done to achieve the limitations and strenght of the NiTi, to precise the files design, and to develop the techniques to apply this unique material.
