Abstract. Cohesiveness is one of the traits that allows a group to present better structure and to be more functional, as well as to attain its goals in such a rapid and satisfactory manner that its members express a sense of belonging, they share in the efforts to meet the goals of the group; it also becomes easy  to identify the objectives of the group and it becomes attractive both from the inside and the outside. In order to determine a group’s cohesiveness, it becomes necessary to explore its components. This is what we did with the group called Centro de Estudios para el Aprendizaje Permanente de la Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Rodriguez (Cepap-UNESR), (Center for Lifelong Learning of the National Experimental University Simón Rodriguez, Cepap- UNESR) in view of the requests of its personnel for change and their resignations during the past two years. The results demonstrated low cohesiveness in this university group.
