In this article, we make reference about some considerations of Candida albicans, the most important aetiological agent implicated in Oral Candidiosis refering to: History, taxonomy, morphological and physiological characteristics (making special emphasis in ultrastructure), culture characteristics, ecological aspects and specific factors afected Candida distribution within the oral cavity.
