SUMMARY It is clear that the breast-feeding carries with a multitud of advantages for both the mother and the infant; wether the inmunologic, nutricious, and psicologic point of view. However, the breast-feeding effects over the stomatognatic sistem are poorly difused. According to the World Health Organization, the malocclusions are in the third place as oral health problems. Most of the buccal disease, specially the malocclusions aren't a danger health problem, but according to the prevalence and incidence, are considerated as a public health problem. The purpose of the following overview is to present the most recent studies of the breast-feeding effects over the development of the different stomatic sistem components, specially as a preventive cause on the dentofacial abnormalities.
