Abstract
LOPEZ-LABADY, J; LAZARDE, J and ARREAZA, A. Granuloma Piogénico de gran tamaño en paciente embarazada: Presentación de un caso. Acta odontol. venez [online]. 2003, vol.41, n.3, pp.240-243. ISSN 0001-6365.
Abstract Pyogenic granuloma (PG) is a common reactive lesion, which is characterised by a proliferation of the connective tissue as a response of a local aggression. PG could be localised on skin or mucosas, mainly oral mucosa. Clinically, it might be a pink or bright red papula or tumour. When hormonal changes occur in a patient, PG could overgrow and it resembles a malignant neoplasia. For that reason a case of PG of unusual dimension in a pregnant woman is reported and the literature is reviewed.
Keywords : Pyogenic granuloma; hormonal changes; pregnancy,; unusual dimension.
