The study of the epistemology, provides us the foundations on which operate the theories and the investigation; as professionals of the health we are usually inclined toward analytic procedures, looking for causal connections, but the conception of the nature of  knowledge is much wider and our look can arrive as far as the horizon, for this reason we present this theoric and descriptive study, especially to dentists with the purpose of motivate them to read and to improbé their knowledge, on a topic that we estimate is important and useful, when thinking about an investigation  or simply to carry out a reading.
