Abstract
MORET, Yuli. CHERUBISM: MONITORING OF THE PATIENT FOR TOUR YEARS. REPORT ON A CASE AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE.. Acta odontol. venez [online]. 2004, vol.42, n.3, pp.199-202. ISSN 0001-6365.
Cherubism is a benign inherited disease that affects the maxillaries, often being bilateral, which produces painless swelling and an "angelic" appearance of the face. It is commonplace among males between 2 and 5 years of age, and progresses until puberty. It generally regresses spontaneously and requires no treatment. We present a case of Cherubism in which the patient has been monitored for 4 years and it is possible to clinically and radiographically demonstrate how the patient has improved in a spontaneous regressive mode.
