Abstract The progression of Periodontal Disease, primarily plaque - associated, cause attachment and bone loss around molar and premolar root surfaces. The advance of the chronic disease entail to absence of bone in the furcas. Furcation constitute a particular and unique condition, with significant access problems, not easy to treat because of the morphologic features. In that sense, it is important that new clinicians and experts extend their knowledge about the anatomic features such as: root trunk, furcation opening, roof, entrance, root relationship, interdental and interradicular morphologic features, and root cone, that make possible to evaluate the epidemiology of the disease and determine the most appropriate therapy to use for the patient
