In the last years, one comes presenting a tendency to the change with the accomplishment of some studies, that from the dental practice, incorporate qualitative techniques of investigation and the design of ethnographic studies In this work the results obtained from a qualitative design appear in which get up the study of the human component traditionally absentee of the dental practice. The analysis was made the social and cultural behaviors, that they define the meaning of the buccal health in the familiar sine, collecting descriptive data of the contexts, the activities and the beliefs of the participant mothers. The results obtained in this investigation have allowed to identify the dental situations with problems by the group of mothers, that they have meaning for the family.
