This paper introduces a therapeutic alternative to the correction of the Class III malocclusion due to maxilla underdevelopment. The research is based on the early interception with maxillary protraction appliances. They improve Class III skeletals patterns and reduce the amount of dental compensations and skeletal discrepancies which are generally associated with severe malocclusion during the adolescence. However, a long time treatment and a possible instability of the results  might be a disadvantage.
