Abstract

GARCIA HERRERA, Carmelo et al. Técnica de impresión con alginato: Una propuesta edumática. Acta odontol. venez [online]. 2008, vol.46, n.2, pp.180-183. ISSN 0001-6365.

The new technologies are modifying our way to research, to learn and to teach. This must be that the new methods that offer these technologies to obtain, to communicate and to store information, they are promoting a new vision of the learning and the knowledge in the educative context. In this sense, our proposal is to present a experience in the design and development a educational software in multimedia format, like interactive means of self study, self evaluation and appropriation of the Alginate impression technique for the students enrolled in dental materials of the Dentistry Faculty of the University of Los Andes. The proposal basically is developed in two stages; a stage of design and development of the educational software, and another one of validation and production. We considered that contained practitioners as this one must necessarily be treated by means of resources that facilitate to the student the task of observing the practical demonstrations repeatedly, as multimedia is the case of educative software. Nevertheless, it is of vital importance that at the moment for designing software is taken as it bases the theory of the learning on which the program of the course is based. Only of this form software will be able to offer benefits to the educative process.

Keywords : Education; educational software; alginate impression technique.
