The purpose of this research was to develop hypermedia software for teaching and learning of conceptual and procedural dental contents. Even though it was designed for third year Dental students of the University of Los Andes, this software could be used by other students. The review of the literature suggests that the Software multimedia can be a suitable instrument for the university teaching at Dental Schools. The elaboration of this multimedia tool was based on Gagne's Instruccional Design Principles. Later, using an experiment of post-test, comparing it with the traditional teaching method of transmission of the information, its efficiency was tested. The results demonstrate that this Software contributes with the teaching and learning of Dental contents.
