The dental school of the Universidad Central de Venezuela, understanding its roll among Venezuelan society, has created a dental service to treat people who lives with infect contagious diseases, which did not existed in the country. Since 1999 it gives dental attention to people with tuberculosis, syphilis, Human papiloma virus, and HIV/AIDS. 97% are HIV positive. This service a National center of reference, which also serve as a training center for professors and dental students, and it is a important center in the area of HIV investigation and other co infections. The center created a clinic record to register different aspects related with people treated at it, in order to know the behaviors of the infection among people who were attended at the center, which helps projecting the behaviors in Venezuela. Identified the characteristics of: age, gender, precedence, civil status, level of instruction, sexual orientation, and, ways of HIV spread of the people HIV positive, treated at CAPEI/UCV among the period 1999-2005.Average age 40% among 28-37 years old, 79,5% males, 91% from the Capital region, 74% singles, 25% high school graduated, 50% heterosexuals and 85% sexually infected. HIV infection among the people studied not make any difference regarding sexual gender, age or socioeconomics conditions.
