Summary A characterization and evaluation of the productiva capacity and of fruit quality of cultivars Araque, Rangel, and Rosita, from "pie de franco" trees colleted in the central region of Venezuela and introduced in 1986 to the CENIAP collection was performed. Eighty three morphoagronomic descriptors were used and along with tree dimensions and harvest records per tree to determine productiva efficiency thru use of fructification index. Fruit quality was evaluated by physical and chemical indexes. Results showed, that despite their outstanding position in relation to other materias collected nationwide, the attributes they posses are appropriate for an internal market, but show limitations for export purposes.
