To determine variability in the response to the in vitro establishment of nodal segments collected from eight adult Annona muricata L. plants phenotipically similar, the effect of stock plant on viability, shoot formation, bacteria and fungi contamination was evaluated. All variables resulted statistically different (P<0,01) for most of the plants. Statistical studies are recommended in order to decrease variation among plants or treatments.
