Resumen
PARRA, Raquel M et al. Construction and analysis of empirical models for the estimation of the evaporation in Venezuela1. Agronomía Trop. [online]. 2008, vol.58, n.1, pp.45-49. ISSN 0002-192X.
The evaporation is an important element in any study of the hydric balance. Its measurement can be made of directly or indirectly form, being based this last on the existing relations between this variable and other meteorological and spatial elements (latitude, length and altitude). The objective of this study is to analyze the relations and influences of the meteorological and spatial variables on the behavior of the evaporation variability in Venezuela and the construction of linear empirical models to allow its estimation. It has been found that the variable pan evaporation has significant linear associations with the meteorological variables radiation, sunshine, temperature and relative humidity in almost all the regions of the country. The differences in absolute terms between the observed and estimated values were between 0 and 65 mm per year. For practical purposes the equations represent a good approach for the estimation of monthly evaporation and therefore they allow to generate more accurate analyses on evaporation variability in Venezuela.
