BERTOLACCINI, Isabel; ANDRADA, Patricia y QUAINO, Oscar. Effects of field margins strips for the attraction of predaceous wheat aphids, coccinellidae y syrphidae, in central Santa fe province, Argentina. Agronomía Trop. [online]. 2008, vol.58, n.3, pp.267-276. ISSN 0002-192X.
With the purpose of determining the influence of marginal strips in the attraction of Coccinellidae y Syrphidae adults, Brassica campestris L. was seeded in a wheat field. A strip of equal characteristics left with natural adventicius plants and other and a test without weeds chemically. Were placed three water traps in each strip and six in the crop: tree at five m and other three at 10 m. Weekly was counted the amount adult syrphids and coccinellids fallen in the traps and the aphids at 15 random plants wheat, in correspondence to the strips. We concluded that the strips with flowering B. campestris attracted a greater amount of syrphids, whereas the strip natural weeds attracted a greater amount of coccinellids, because the predominance Fumaria officinalis L. flowers.
