Tuber production was evaluated from seedling of True Potato Seed (TPS) in Pueblo Llano, Merida State in the year 2006. The genetic material used corresponded to TPS progenies introduced from the International Potato Center (CIP): MF-II x TPS- 67, TPS-25 x TPS-13, TP-25 x TPS-67 and Achirana x TS-4. It was evaluated tubers number kg.m-2, tubers weight kg.m-2 and percentage of tubers between five up to 40 g. In the second test an adequate weather conditions for the late blight, Phytophthora infestans, it was sowed in field seed potato tubers in a randomized block design, with six treatments with three replications. The TPS seedlings of MF-II x TPS-67, TPS-25 x TPS-13 and TPS-25 x TPS-67 progenies produced 363, 304 and 244 tubers.m-2, respectively with yield between 3,85 to 6,40 kg.m-2. The largest percentage of tubers with 5 to 40 g was recorded in TPS-25 x TPS-67, TPS-25 x TPS-13 y Achirana x TS-4. On the field was distinguished the TPS-25 x TPS-13 progenie with values from 0.907 to 0.814 kg for total tuber weight/plant and commercial tuber weight/plant-1, respectively, with commercial yield of 33,92 t.ha-1; whereas in the Granola variety no commercial yield were produced, due to the damage caused by P. infestans
