RODRIGUEZ, Ritelix et al. Tumores de intestino delgado: Diferentes formas de presentación de una misma entidad. Gen [online]. 2006, vol.60, n.2, pp.128-133. ISSN 0016-3503.
The tumors of the small intestine offer a unique challenge, as a result of their low prevalence, its represent only 1 - 2% of all gastrointestinal tumors. They are typically asymptomatic in its early stages, but more than 90% of patients develop symptoms as the tumor progresses. It can presents with vague abdominal pain, intermittent and weight loss. Others symptoms as nausea, vomiting, bleeding, obstruction and chronic anemia occur less frequently. We present three cases of patients with tumors of the small intestine and different clinical presentations (digestive bleeding, abdominal pain, weight loss, intestinal obstruction) and compared the clinical, endoscopic, and radiological and hystopatological findings with others described previously in the literature.
