The objective was to evaluate the behavior Of Nitric Oxide In patients Infected with Hepatitis B and C in our environment and the relationship between Nitric Oxide and transaminases. A prospective study was carried out with 60 adult patients at the Hospital Militar "Dr. Carlos Arvelo ". We demonstrated that patients Infected with hepatitis B showed levels of Nitric Oxide significantly higher than the control group of healthy individuals; using the variance analysis technique, obtaining a p value of 0.0001. Through the simple line regression technique, a high correlation between transaminases levels and Nitric Oxide was found in patients infected with hepatitis B Virus. Amongst patients infected with hepatitis C virus, an Increase in Nitric Oxide concentrations was not observed.
