Primary Teratomas of the gastrointestinal tract are extremely rare entities. They are tumors composed by cells of the three germ layers and affect mainly the gonads and the retroperitoneum. Until the year 2000 only 49 cases had been reported on world literature. This study reports a Primary Rectal Teratoma diagnosed and resected through endoscopy.
