NADDAF, Rubén; FOLKMANAS, William y REQUENA, Teolinda. Incidencia de hemorragia digestiva superior no variceal en el Hospital General del Oeste durante los años 2002-2006. Gen [online]. 2008, vol.62, n.2, pp.114-115. ISSN 0016-3503.
We evaluated histories of patientes that came to the service of gastroenterology with non variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding during 2002-2006, our objective was to determine the main cause of upper gastrointestinal bleeding and assess the rate of rebleeding in patients that underwent endoscopic treatment. We evaluated the clinic history of 185 patients, 77,3% were male and 22,7% female. Upper gastrointestinal bledding was more frecuent in stomach (51, 35%) than duodenum ( 38,91%) and Mallory Weiss syndrome, esophagitis complicated with ulcers and post-esphinterotomy bledding accounted for 9,74%. All patients with ulcers Forrest Ia, Ib, IIa and IIb underwent endoscopic treatment with epinephryne 1:10000, we didn`t observe any rebleeding.
